I purchased the Geeni Sentry floodlight security system. As you can see the clarity is fantastic during day or night vision. I read some of the mild complaints but from where I stand this was the best hardwired system that I could fine with the durability and accuracy. In fact I was searching to purchase two more of the same units, but I see where the saler is discontinuing the product, which I truly feel is a bad move. For some it maybe a little pricey but it gets the job done. One of the complaint were about the brightness, well in the settings there is an adjustment switch to tune it down to dust to dawn look, and these days the brighter the better… I hope that you reconsider stopping the manufacturing of this product…Vernon King,ATL.

I’ve had the Geeni Sentry for about 6 weeks now. So far I’ve been very happy with my purchase. When it comes to outdoor smart cameras there aren’t many smart floodlights. I have other Geeni products (smart light bulbs, LED strips, door sensors) that I’ve been satisfied with and the Sentry had the features I wanted.Pros: Unbelievably brightIt feels very sturdy and was easy to install.Local storage with the option for cloud if you want.Did I mention it’s ridiculously bright?App interface makes it easy to browse motion events and view specific dates/times.Cons: While not a big concern (it is a security light after all), the ability to dim the light would be a plus. Especially if you want to be courteous to your neighbors.The local storage definitely poses the risk of someone noticing and taking the SD card. The ability to write to network storage could make this more secure.No way to view the feed or recordings from PC.Conclusion: If you’re in the market for an outdoor security camera with local storage and no subscription required, the Geeni Sentry is worth your consideration.

My husband and I got this installed and have been enjoying it the last couple days so far. Definitely brings peace of mind especially when my dogs like to be outside or at night. It has a microphone also and we have been able to talk to our dogs when we are away if need be and the microphone works good! It picks up good sound as well. Camera is pretty clear was surprised. And the flood light is bright and lights up everything very well. I did not rate the waterproof part because it has only been a few days so we will see how it holds up against rain and snow when we get some. Very satisfied this far! Worth it!

If you are a Geeni fan like me, you’ll want to add this light to your house. It connects like the rest of Geeni or Mekury Innovationss products. The light is super bright at night and you have the option of putting it on a schedule or letting it come on with motion. You also have more options with how long it stays on. It will take up to 32 gig on a micro SD and functions similar to a dash cam where it will overwrite the older clip on continuous recording. Real time motion will depend on your Wi-Fi connection. It is not connected to a service and does not require a subscription. It does have an audible alarm you can activate.The bad. The fixture only comes with a metal backplate for mounting, meaning, the junction box will be exposed to the elements. i suggest getting an all weather junction box cover plate and drilling holes to accept the post. Also, the light itself is on a post and mounts with 3 screws which is both bad and good. Bad because, if you use an all weather cover plate, it’s super hard to see the screw holes on the baseplate. Side note, if you add the all weather baseplate you will need to purchase 3mm screws at least 1/2 inch long.Today is the first day so if anything changes I’ll let you know.

sentry cams are beyond expectations so far; so many features: freezes frames of motion & sends notice to your phone, creating timeline; 2-way audio; toggle the light or aLARM from your phone manually /otherwise it only lights after dark when motion sensor is triggered.Runs on regular 120volt, if you already have a floodlight installed (mine was a little older & i had to make a hybrid baseplate with it from what was there) but then just wire it in..pay attention to read/write speeds on your SD cards; don’t be bound by your drive speeds /or you’re adding to any present lag (tho these are much faster than some of their other devices)

Better than I expected. I purchased this based on some reviews I had read on Google and the reviews were correct. The night vision is amazing the picture is amazing. What can I say I am so happy with this purchase so far. The price is perfect too. It preforms with the big boys just with out the big boys price tag. I am so happy we went with this purchase we will definately be purchasing this item again and additional items they sell. I will update my review if things change but I doubt they will. As long as you have a strong WIFI signal as they say you won’t have issues. I have a detached garage but I have several WIFI devices out there so I added a repeater and have had no issues.

If you are looking to replace your outdoor wired floodlight and also want to add an affordable video camera that works with the downloadable app, Alexa or Google, this is the camera for you. Depending on you J-box, installation can be challenging, as the screw wholes do not match up with a 2 screw attachment method you are used to. Once you jump that hurdle you are set. The picture is simply spectacular. Only time will tell about its durability, but as it is mounted under the eave, I’m not concerned.

I went through numerous floodlight cameras since December. They all were either too sensitive, not sensitive enough, or just plain unsafe because they didn’t start recording until a person was about ten feet away. When I was about to give up I found this little floodlight camera. I saw all the good reviews and thought it received them only because of its cheap price compare to the others. I wired it up and downloaded the app. This little baby just works with no false alarms and even pick up people and animals penetrating my boundaries. I am so happy I gave this one a chance. You can’t go wrong, because it works like a champ.
