After installing an Essential Spotlight Camera in a busy area, we saw the battery percentage drop quickly (less than a month to 20% battery). We installed this panel and within 3 days in went from 45%, 85%, 100% and we no longer worry about it. Great product.

We have a camera up on the top of our roof to get a street view. However the battery would drain pretty fast due to all of the movement it would pick up. It was a pain to constantly climb up a ladder to take the camera down, charge it, then put the camera back up. We got this solar panel and it took a while for us to get used to it. But it’s actually super easy. Just make sure the camera is fully charged before setting everything up. We haven’t had to climb up to recharge the camera in months. The solar panel keeps it charged. We had doubts bcus it does look pretty cheap. But it works perfectly. I’m going to buy more solar panels for my other arlo cameras

This is for the Arlo Essential security bundle that came with 4 cameras and one solar panel. For helpful tips: The cameras were charged for several days in advance. The solar panel that was in the bundle worked really well. I looked into other savings and reviews and purchasing the original Arlo brand was much better. Once the cameras are fully charged, the app has given me the results of a full charge. Still days later, there’s still a good battery life with or without the solar panels. I received the extra solar panels in just a few days of ordering them.

My situation may be a bit unique. I live in a condo, and this solar panel is supporting an Arlo Essential Spotlight camera in my carport. It took a while for the condo association to approve the placement of the panel, and I had to make it a non-permanent install. My first few attempts failed miserably – the double sided velcro tape you can see in the picture holding the cabling wasn’t sufficient to keep the panel upright. However, a “strong adhesive” double sided transparent tape did the trick, with tape underneath the mouth, and over top of it a well. It hasn’t moved since installed, despite some days with wicked wind. And unlike their demo photos, my panel is some distance away from the camera. As for the charging capabilities, I wasn’t sure what to expect here. The camera itself was needing to be charged every month and a half or so, despite not getting a tremendous amount of motion activity. When I was finally able to wire up this panel, it didn’t seem to immediately have an effect. Maybe it was less than ideal weather. Maybe the devices needed to get used to each other. Whatever the case, it took a few days before the battery level started to stablizing, and then going up and staying up.My camera now, despite some bitterly cold weather last week that had the device completely offline (too cold to operate!), is now hovering around mid-80s battery percentage. That works for me!If you’re on the fence about whether your Arlo Essential Spotlight camera needs this – go for it. I’ve found it to be a positive investment, and I think you will too.

We were having so many issues keeping our Arlo charged. It was a pain to have to take it down almost every day to recharge it, and then we would have hours without a camera while it was down charging. I was just about to give up on our investment and look into a different camera system when I found this solar panel. It works perfectly and keeps our Arlo charged. We live in Nevada where the weather is perfect with lots of sunshine, so it was a life saver for us!The only downside I would say is that the plug that goes from the panel to the camera was too short. The angle was wrong and it wouldn’t fully connect. We needed to order a longer cord separately for it to work with where we needed to mount the panel and where the camera was mounted. Once we received that it was good to go! We haven’t had to take it down once to charge it!

Tried 2 generic and they were not charging properly. This one charged from 50% to 80% in 2 full days with ☀️ sun and about 50-60 recording per day.

I now have a front yard (and driveway) and a back yard ARLO camera. The back yard solar panel has been keeping its camera charged to 100%. That contributed to my decision to add the same model solar panel to my front yard (and driveway) ARLO camera. Just finished putting it up this afternoon and it immediately started charging that camera. No more periodic unmounting of that camera to bring it into the house to recharge it. Whew!

I have 2 now. Plugged the first one into a camera that was fully charged and the second to a camera that was about 50% charged. Both cameras have now kept at 99-100% charged ever since. Even on cloudy days it still seems to charge (although definitely not as quickly as sunny days). I love not having to mess with the cameras anymore taking them down to charge.

I live in a heavily wooded area and sun isn’t around in one spot very long so I picked the most sunny area at one time and hoped for the best . Due to manufacture specs & many reviews saying direct sun light this solar panel keeps my arlo camera charged all the time . Also I have all the same features when it was running off a power source.
