The unit is solid feeling, but it OVERHEATS so quickly, it will shutdown within 30 mins of use.I put a max load on it, and it quickly shot up to 70+ Celsius and turned off. Its rated to 160 watts, so you would think it can handle charging at that level, but no. The surface temperature is already hitting high 70 to 80 Celsius, the internals must be cooking at or above 100 degrees C.Not only that, the sides of my charger have very prominent warping, not a good sign.I will keep the rating at 1 star until there is an update. (I am predicting the unit to fail quickly at this rate due to the thermals, I will see if they will honor the warranty or it’s a return) Will update rating then.Update: Ugreen contacted me and fully stood behind their product. The issue was forwarded fairly quickly, I was kinda busy so I held up the processing a bit, but they determined that I got a faulty unit and helped resolve it. Updated rating to reflect the actual warranty process.

I am upgrading from an older UGreen charger. I initially went with a different brand that was cheaper and offered more power, but the USB-A ports would simply not work with my Garmin watch charger, even after getting a replacement. This charger came in, and I just did a load test on it. At max speed, it charged my laptop (65W), fast charged my phone (21W), charged my earbuds, and also charged my watch. I am very satisfied with it.

found this by reading several reviews on options for replacing the power-brick and cable that come w your laptop. i travel several times per month and got tired of lugging around the default ‘mess’. I’m very satisfied w this new adapter… small and fast.

Perfect charger for on the go…

Over the years my collection of electronics has grown, smartwatches, phones, headphones, you know, the important stuff. It has always been difficult to find something that can handle all of my devices, especially at the same time. This Ugreen Pro 160 has power to spare, unlike other chargers that would only trickle charge my devices or only charge one at a time, this has the ability to handle them all.GaN has pretty much become the standard, this is supposed to be more efficient than older chargers leading to faster charging and smaller power bricks. Ugreen has always been a brand that I have used and grown to rely upon, from their charging bricks, to their power cords their products have always been top notch and this charger is no exception.

I recently upgraded from a lower wattage charger (also from Ugreen), and the and the additional power is great to have. With 4 ports, I can simultaneously charge multiple Apple devices without skipping a beat. The GaN technology is not just a buzzword; it means this compact charger doesn’t get as hot as others I’ve used, which is comforting. Ugreen has become a brand I really trust and can relate to quality products. The design is sleek and doesn’t take up much space in my bag when I’m on the go. The only con I see is that it is a bit heavy.Although a bit expensive, for anyone with multiple devices that need charging, this is a fantastic investment that should last a very long time.

I can’t believe this single unit can output so much in such a tight package! I’ll just say outright it’s expensive, but it’s a solid product. So one big thing to keep in mind is that the 160W advertisement is total max output at a time. It cannot output 160W through a single port, the highest one maxes out at 140W. I’ve tested this with an Anker 737 power bank that can charge at 140W and it displayed mid to high 130’s. Taking into account losses this little brick definitely provides the amount of juice it states. Thumbs up. The four ports provide as listed: 140W, 100W, 30W, and 22.5W maximum. This is with only one port being used. I included a picture of a paper that came in the box showing the wattages with different the output combinations. I don’t have many high rate devices so I can basically charge whatever I want at the same time at full speed and I love it.One major major major pro I’ll have to add is that the location of the plug lets you share outlets easily with other things. I’m so tired of plugs being located in positions that make these products take up two or three slots on a power strip but this one you can hand off the end and still plug something else in on the next closest slot (see picture). That’s a great attention to detail in their engineering.

This is one of the best block chargers I’ve found on the market. UGREEN really knocked it out of the park on this one. With three USB-C ports and one USB-A port you can charge just about every device you have with one charger. I’ve tested charging my Dell Prevision 5420 with one USB-C port while charging my iPhone and AirPods with the others and it worked like a charm. The OEM power charger that comes with my laptop is rated at 130W so this laptop takes a lot of power to operate. Remember, however, when you charge multiple devices at once, the power to each device is then split up with this charger. Also, Windows 11 kept telling me to charge my laptop with the OEM power charger for best operating capabilities. Even so, my laptop was at 78% when I plugged it into this charger and within a minute it was already at 80% so I know it’s working well.I like the smaller form factor which makes this charger very easy to store and travel with. The charger is quite heavy, but in your hands this simply makes it feel high quality. The aluminum case it’s built in helps dissipate the heat created when charging devices. After using this charger with my laptop, the charger itself got warm but not hot which is pretty wild.I found that this charger works best in an outlet with a strong outlet. If the outlet is worn out, the charger can slip out of the outlet since it weighs so much.Overall, this is a great charger and I’m really glad I got it for testing and normal everyday use.

I have a test that every charger I own fails. I have a laptop that requires 95W to rapid charge and power. I have a phone that requires 45W to Super Fast Charge and I have a Tablet that requires 25W to Fast Charge. Is there a charger that can handle all 3 optimally and be reasonably portable? Apparently not, but this charging block comes closer.Chargers have become more complicated over time. Multiple port charger’s ports change capabilities based on which ports & how many you are using and how much power each connected device is drawing. UGREEN does a very nice job of laying out each scenario. So either you need to keep the instruction booklet with the charging block or, do what I did, which was to take pictures of the charts and store them on the phone (and in the cloud) so I can refer to them when necessary.I’m very impressed with this charging block. It’s flexible (plenty of 2,3 and 4 port scenarios) and it’s very compact for its power capabilities. Since it uses the latest GaN technology it doesn’t generate as much heat, so its circuitry can be packed more densely with less insulation resulting in a smaller footprint. Other 160W charging blocks I’ve seen and used have all been too bulky and heavy to be carried around.Back to my test. This power block will optimally charge any 2 out of the 3 at the same time but not all 3. I’ll keep looking, but in the meantime this charger will suffice.

Ugreen is a respected brand in power delivery. This is one hefty charging block! You can charge up to 4 devices at once. I don’t currently have a laptop with usb-c charging, but I was able to fast charge my Pixel 7 Pro and Samsung tablet at the same time with the top 2 high power ports while also charging my headphones. It seems to have no issues with this load and did not get excessively hot.The build quality is very solid and feels seriously durable. This block has some heft to it. It’s impressively compact for what it is, but it’s still a chonky boi, so depending on your outlet layout you may block enough of a neighboring outlet that you won’t be able to use the outlet next to it. It had that issue with a surge protector that has two rows of outlets. It’s not too much of an inconvenience since this is like 4 chargers in one. The ports have a great fit for my cables. There’s no slop or play in the connection. It’s tight and secure. This is a full 50% more expensive than Ugreen’s 140w 3 port charger, so this isn’t the best bang for the buck solution in their lineup, but if you have a lot of devices this could be the best solution for you. Great product, I’m impressed and would recommend it.
