It’s somewhat hard to rate a small container of oil for a shredder, but it works as advertised. The 12 oz bottle will last a LONG TIME, the viscosity appears normal, it was very easy to squeeze across the blades of our shredder, and we are told – even in the manual – this will help it last a long time so here is hoping for the best! The shredder runs well, so I assume the oil is doing what it’s supposed to do. I would recommend this brand and will purchase it again when I run low.

This is not a review for the use of the oil in the Shredder I purchased, however, the oil does work! I have a favorite, much older polyester knit hoodie that zips. The zipper has been unusable for over 10 year. I’ve tried everything to make it usable, nothing worked, so i decided to wear it only at home. I ordered this oil for my shredder, but had a eureka moment! I took the bottle of oil, put a tiny drop on the double zipper, which had not moved up or down in 10 yrs, and wriggled the zippers to have the oil permeate them. Within 5 min. I wiggled them again and heard a crack, they were unstuck! I put several other small drops of oil on the teeth only, for the length of the zipper, and slowly eased one zipper up and down the full zipper, opening and closing my jacket with ease. I’m sure this oil will be wonderful for the Shredder, but it truly did a miracle move on my jackets stuck zipper!!

I feel guilty now. I got my shredder 4 years ago and never lubricated. Recently cleared out old documents and needed to do a mass shred. I noticed the machine was over heating after a short time. So I took the machine top to outside and hit it with the leaf blower and was surprised how much paper came out. Then I used the oil as directed then let it sit for five minutes. I took a 5 page document and spread some oil on the pages an put it thru. The shredder sounded so much better. I let it sit 5 minutes and started my mass shred and no more over heating. Every 3 times I emptied I did the oil between paper. I say I feel guilty because I should have been doing this from day one. I would recommend this to owners of new and old machines. I also bought a small pack of the lubricating sheets to have on hand if I am in a rush to lubricate.

Very good product. Works very well in our shredder and keeps it lubricated for long period of time.

I have never lubricated my paper shredder before. I purchased a “Royal” paper shredder 20-25 years ago and it has served me well but recently it has become increasingly noisy and occasionally makes a screeching noise so I decided that I would buy a new Bonsaii model. It was then that I began receiving advice that ALL paper shredders need to be lubricated. Who knew?So I bought a bottle of Fellowes Performance oil (pre-oiled papers are ridiculously expensive) and began lubing. It’s easy to use and after preemptively oiling my new Bonsaii I figured why not try oiling the old Royal shredder? After liberally oiling it directly into the feeder and reversing direction a few times, NO MORE SCREECH!!My wife was so impressed she wanted to mix it with vinegar and use it on my dinner salad!!I told her that I would need to take a HARD PASS on that one!!

You definitely need this oil for your shred machine! You can shred a lot of documents for a longer period of time using this oil, before the machine needs time to rest when you have lots of documents to shred!

ITEM: Fellowes Powershred Performance Shredder Oil, 12 oz. Extended Nozzle Bottle (35250)Pro: I needed an extended nozzel bottle for canola shredder oil, this was the best for $5.It also was quickly delivered. When empty, I will refill with Amazon Canola oil.Con: Although it had not leaked, I had to tighten the nozzle at least a full turn.

Bought this after I bought a shedder and realized it needed to be oiled every so often. Large bottle. Should last a while
