I just set up my new red color Canon Pixma MG 3620 today, 2/14/2024. I am very happy about this printer so far.Set up:It was not too difficult. It took more time than I thought because somehow my laptop (very old) couldn’t open the CD Rom that came with the printer. The rom says MG 3600. (I wonder this rom is wrong one or equivalent with 3620).I followed an instruction and typed Canon installation website address. When you click “next” you see some box says “serial number” but you cannot enter anything there so just click “next” button. (I clicked search another printer button and my computer freezed for a while then couldn’t go back or go forward. Just wait for a while it would go away and you can click the next button.)Pros:Printer speed is fast,Print clearly,One color and one black ink included,Price was reasonable,Red color looks nice (Top is darker red than body and it looks ok),Instruction wan not bad (I only read for PC),Delivery was quick.Cons:Cable was not included ( I wanted to use 2 ways, Wi-fi and direct cable in case wifi connection doesn’t work),Cheap plastic compared to my very old Canon PixmaI kept my old printer and cable then luckily I could use the direct cable for MG3620 printer.

Springer is very reasonable. I have no problem with it. That works good. Some reviews say that they’re having problem with it but far as I have none with it the price was good and the shipping was the very next day and it was simple to assemble and get working, it works off your phone. That was the main reason I purchased it because our old one went bad after eight years I would recommend this to anybody.

I bought this printer to replace a Hp printer I had purchased several months before. I spent untold days and evenings trying to get the Hp printer to work until I finally tossed it in the corner and walked away from it. Now, I am not a tech wizard but neither am I so dumb that I am unable to troubleshoot printer problems. I don’t know what has happened to Hp, because I have always owned their laptops and printers and they were always easy to setup, – until now. Enough of Hp, – steer clear of them. This Canon printer was not as simple to set up as the cd demonstrated, because the instructions were at times, vague. And, you had to, at times, read between the lines to set it up. However, the setup was 99% easier than the Hp piece of crap that is going in the trash (past the return date). I have it hooked to my wifi network (it can be hard-wired to your desktop/laptop), the print quality is excellent, and, as of this writing, I am very impressed and extremely happy with it. I know there are some negative reviews here but my experience has been positive. It’s a good buy, in my book.

Update- This printer is a rattletrap. Very cheaply made, the front door won’t stay closed. So far it has eaten most of the paper I’ve fed into it and has taken me quite a bit of searching online how to get it unjammed. When it works it is lovely. When it’s bad its very, very bad. I’ll use it for another couple of weeks and then if it hasn’t straightened up I’ll return it.Original review. I ordered the Red MG3620 Canon Pixma printer. It is a pretty red except the top is a not so pretty brownish red. Why? Just why.Set up was easy enough with a USB cable but here are some things to know.1. I ordered the printer alone (59.) yet it came with ink. I almost ordered the “Printer+ink” for 114.00 but found ink cheaper elsewhere and THEN it came with ink anyway. It would have been nice to know.2. There was tape and some packing material stuck inside the printer near the ink slide bar that was in pretty tight and I was afraid I would break something if I pulled it out so I waited to get it out until I turned on the machine thinking it would be easier. No mention of how to remove without damaging the unit. When I plugged it in and turned on the printer the slide bar moved and it sounded pretty bad. I had to yank out the tape etc. to stop the awful sounds. It printed fine later so fingers crossed there.3. I had to watch a Youtube video on putting in the ink cartridges which was fine but odd that there was no mention in the instructions.4. Ditto on how the paper is inserted. The video I watched showed several little swing-out paper holder/guides for outcoming paper. This comment is for those saying the paper falls on the floor.5. At first the computer could not seem to find the printer and I realized the printer was not turned back on but it WAS connected with a RED USB cable that I bought on Amazon. Very snazzy with my red printer. So I turned it on and my computer found and installed the printer very quickly and then I printed my 1 page book club meeting list which shot right out. It is very crisp and clean.I think the instructions that came with the printer are for a range of printers which may be why it does not have ink and paper loading instructions.Like I said I am happy so far. I have 2 Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II printers which have been work horses. Occasionally quirky but with Kenoungh (go see the Barbie movie) looking around online I have been able to find the sometimes weird work-arounds.

I read some bad reviews about this printer and to be honest I can’t find any flaws with this printer or its software. Setup was very easy I didn’t even need to call tech support. So much more easy than my wireless HP to setup which didn’t work with my HP Windows 8.1 PC. This Canon was a cinch and the software is easy to use. That said, I don’t know why printers need WiFi to function these days. What happened to using a simple cable between a PC and printer? There should be an option but it seems that they make these things more complicated every time they release a new model. But again, this Canon made the process as easy as possible. It is connected using a cable.

The instructions for setting up the printer were clear and easy to follow. The software included the set up of the printer and installed the necessary drivers and Additional software for the scanner functions, etc. automatically. I have installed a number of printers but this was the first one that I did not have to supply the network password. It just did it! It came with standard ink cartridges. You will need to supply your router password if you want to print directly from your smartphone or tablet. Print quality is typical of Canon printers using the 240 series cartilages. A great value for the average home printer.

I replaced my older reliable workhorse Canon MG 3100 with this new MG 3600. Even though the MG 3600 had favorable reviews overall, I was a bit concerned after reading a few poor reviews regarding it being hard to install. Note: I haven’t yet bothered with a Wifi setup as yet and just used the USB cable from the MG 3100 that I was replacing. All in all, the installation was very fast and easy and the printer works great. It’s generally fast and the quality is very good, so I have nothing negative at all to say about it. For the money, I consider the MG 3620 a good buy.

I finally had enough of my old printer not recognizing the paper was installed and when it did it wouldn’t actually use the paper. Just made a whole lot of noise. So I needed to print out some important documents. I ordered this printer after reading a couple of reviews. In my mind there are going to be some good and some not so good but this printer had a lot of good reviews. I ordered it at 10am. It arrived same day at 3.50pm. It took me maybe 10 minutes to set it up and that was really just skimming the instructions. It’s just super simple. It picked up my wifi immediately and I printed off a pic in my photo gallery ( it asked me to). The print looks just like the pic. Ithen printed off the documents Ineeded. All said and done about 15minutes. Great price for a very easy printer to use.Maybe some printer expert can take my old printer and do something with it. Lol!

The limitation is that it can’t print 11 x 17 but that hasn’t been an issue because I haven’t needed that size prints. Very convenient for printing out black and white on 8 1/2 x 11. Saves me a trip to have it done elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend this for quality color prints. I called Canon warranty support and they were very helpful.
