I tried various cheap non Brother inks and got my Brother printer clogged up. Took me 5 cleaning cycles with Brother ink to get the jets un-plugged. Never clogs with Brother ink. Also nice to have the ink volume indicator functional.

It’s printer ink. It works fine. Though a function of the printer, the Brother Inkvestment printers have the highest ink utilization of any printer I have ever used. But, all ink is way, way over priced and consumers are being taken advantage of by all printer manufacturers – just like razor blades…..
