Put batteries in the remote, turned TV on. The TV registered the remote automatically. Perfect!

I’m loving this LG remote controller. Works flawlessly and feels so comfortable in your hand. It’s easy to use and i like it much better than the little one that came with my LG tv. The little remote has an Exit button on it, and if pressed by mistake it will immediately close out whatever you are watching on tv. This larger remote does not have an Exit button so i don’t have to worry about closing out of a program accidentally. This remote also has voice activation and other features that the smaller one does not have. I’ve seen some reviews with quality concerns, but I haven’t seen any problems at all. I suggest that you must be sure the product is by LG and not a random generic brand. It pared with my tv immediately just by pressing the on button.

Hopefully this review clarifies things for some…. I ordered this because we have two 2019 LG Smart 4K TVs purchased at Costco earlier this year. We use YouTube TV to stream programs and the remotes that came with the TVs are lightweight and more difficult to use than the traditional ‘cable box’ remotes we were using before we cut the cord.Both of our TVs are NOT ‘Magic Remote’ compatible … you have to look in your user manual to verify based on the model number. (Don’t just assume because they are recent models they have the “magic feature compatibility.” ) Therefore the pointer/mouse and voice recognition does not work with this remote. HOWEVER, for the price (I paid $32… not the $50+ I believe these were originally priced at)… I think it’s a good deal, because it is a nicer remote – the dial and buttons in a circle you can press left or right – seems to work/respond faster than the basic remotes that came with the TV. Also the remote stands on it’s own – nice feature – and is ‘heavier’ weight and larger buttons just making it more friendly to use. It’s a more expensive remote. Not sure if I could have found these features on a generic one for a lesser price… but I knew since this was LG it would work with my LG TVs. And it did, immediately, no programming, and I can take it back and forth between the two LG Tvs with no problem, using it on each of them.

This is my third LG magic remote for my 2019 TV. The first one just quit, the 2nd one was lost. They have all been excellent.

Didn’t even have to Sync it with my tv. Just added batteries and it was good to go.

The media could not be loaded. My kids destroyed my original remote, so I needed a replacement. I wasn’t sure exactly which remote went to my TV so I chose this one. So if you have a LG CX this will suffice. Everything functions as it should, all hot buttons work accordingly.
