These are my favorite true wireless earbuds for the money, but they aren’t without their quirks. This is my second time buying these because they are so comfortable and have everything I want in a pair of headphones. You can usually find them on sale for a little less than $40 and they are 100% worth it.My first pair was worn 30 – 40 hours a week for almost a year before the in-ear sensor in the right earbud started bugging out, playing and pausing when it was in my ear.I highly recommend these despite their flaws, and I have seen them make improvements between my first and second pair, notably you can now cycle through ANC, Transparency, and ANC off.Pros:Comfortable – I work as a custodian and wear earbuds for 6 – 10 hours a day and these are by far the MOST comfortable ones I’ve ever owned. My ears never hurt no matter how long I keep them in and they STAY PUT whether I’m dangling them over a toilet or bending down to pick up something of the floor. I’ve never had these come out of my ear or feel like they are slipping out of position.Battery life – these have great battery life, often lasting 6 or 7 hours with ANC. I want something that can last all day so I can focus on my work and block out the annoying noises of vacuums and rolling trash bins. They can also be used independently, so when the battery does get low and I don’t need the ANC, I’ll pop one in the case for 15 min to get more out of them.Wireless charging – I just put them down on my charging pad when I get home and they’re ready to go the next morning.Active noise cancelling – the ANC is GREAT, automatically blocking out the worst noises including multiple different vacuums (which each produce different annoying frequencies) and the surprisingly loud sounds of empty rolling trash bins and rolling trash cans.Sound quality – I’m not an expert on earbud sound quality, but I AM a part-time sound tech who mixes for live worship so I have some experience training my ear to know what sounds good. I think these sound good! I never get tired of listening with these and I feel like the music reproduction is pretty darn good! No EQ needed like with my JBL live free nc+ earbuds. The case – the size of the case is compact and fits great in my pocket.Cons:The case – this is my second time buying this model and the case seems to have been “updated” (or perhaps cost-cut) and now the hinge seems…floppy. Not too bad, but not as stiff and sturdy-feeling as the old one. The hinge has more “wiggle” than I’d like, and the older version didn’t have any. The new case is glossier and retains fingerprints more than the old one which was nice and matte. The case can feel a little slippery in the hand, although I usually keep it in my pocket. It also has this annoying issue with wireless charging where it won’t stop charging when it’s full on battery. My JBL Live Free NC+ earbuds will stop when fully charged. Additionally, when I remove my headphones from the wireless charging pad, without even opening the case they will connect to my phone. I’ve remedied this by just opening and closing the lid whenever I take my headphones off the charger, but this SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. It also means that if the power goes out while they are on the wireless charger that will automatically connect to my phone (often in the middle of the night). Hopefully it will be fixed in subsequent versions.All-in-all, the pros outweigh the cons (significantly, in my opinion). I think these are an amazing option for the $40 price point and I have been very pleased with their reliability and performance. I hope this new pair will also last another 1,600 hours or more. If Tozo solves the issues with wireless charging and goes back to the old case design (firm, sturdy hinge and matte finish) while keeping them at an affordable price then these would be undisputably the best possible earbuds I could imagine.

[LATEST UPDATE: In Feb. 2023 I contacted TOZO regarding the warranty for my no longer working earbuds. It was the best customer service experience I have ever had! Not even kidding! Friendly, easy, painless, quick, and satisfactory. They replaced the broken product and were extremely friendly and pleasant and so easy to deal with. I am surprised and grateful. Elva is the lovely person who helped me out. Have very high confidence in this company now, and trust they will make things right when things go bad. Very, very pleased. And the replacement earbuds are great, and so far have not failed me at all.Glad to have a positive experience I can report instead of complaints! 🙂 Oh and I guess I was wrong about the warranty mentioned below. I don’t know where I got that. But they had a warranty processing form on their website, which I filled out, and found out from the info there that I was still covered, perhaps. Which I was. My bad./end of latest update from Feb. 2023][UPDATE as of 1/2023: These earbuds finally fit in my ears, and then not even 4 months after I got them, they stopped working! First one of the little mesh screen things just fell right out and it stopped working, it must have been held in by the ear tip thing for who knows how long. Then the next day the other earbud also stopped working entirely. Then I realized there was only a 30 day warranty?!?!?! That’s super lame and now I have no earbuds. Thank you very little. 🙁 /end UPDATE)———I like the sound of these a lot, nice and warm overall with decent bass. I was quite pleased. I mainly listen to podcasts and some folk/indie/rock/bluegrass/classical/and/or punk. The noise canceling works surprisingly well but the transparency mode, not so much. It’s so loud, just the ambient noise is a constant loud hiss, and odd things are amplified (a lot!).Calling (outside in quiet, still conditions) with ANC on, for some reason, the other person was very very quiet but could hear me okay. But when I switched to transparency mode during the call by mistake, it was suddenly ear-shatteringly loud f on both ends (but upon turning the volume way down sounded okay for me and the caller, apparently.) A few other calls with NC on were fine but they were all conducted indoors, so I don’t know..I definitely dig the ear detection/auto pause/resume feature, but that would be even more useful on a pair that didn’t also have transparency mode AND a pause touch control, I think. This isn’t a deal-breaker but I can’t stand the way the earbuds fit into the case, they’re unnecessarily awkward to put in, pretty hard to get out, and impossible not to manhandle the touch controls when trying to extract from the annoying annoying annoying case. It’s just weird!I was able to find a glow in the dark silicone Case for the case, which is nice because it has a carabiner clip on it. I found I found that rather useful to clip to all kinds of things because the case is so big I don’t really want it in my pocket. The battery life seems good, but I have not really been able to test that to the point of needing a charge because… *. Here comes the deal-breaker: no matter how much I might like these earbuds, I cannot wear them for any length of time. The right one hurts my ear terribly – it seems it bruised my ear or something the first time I tried them and even now that it has healed (took a week or so, ouch!) and I am super careful putting them in, it still causes pain, especially in my right ear but in my left one too. And they slide out. I tried nearly all the sizes of tips, too, just in case I was doing it wrong. Nope, nothing could make these things fit in my tender little ears. I have never had that problem with this type of earbud before, but now I’m so worried about finding ones that will fit and won’t hurt that I don’t know what the heck to replace these with. But unfortunately, they’ve gotta go back, I must return them and try yet another pair.[NOTE] – I’ve been on the hunt for the right earbuds ever since my duolink mbits crapped out on me (left bud) which had replaced my mpow mbits (same exact but different brand names) crapped out on me (left earbud as well ). I tried the Jlabs evo something with the button (not touch), but pressing the button jammed the whole thing painfully into my ears, ugh. Tried another jlabs one (i think) but the stupid case had no lid, what is the use of that?? Then I tried whatever soundcore buds with the stem and the giant case that they sell at Walmart for $35, and i returned them because they sounded so terrible, just godawful. Even with the other eq mode, I hated them! But they were tiny and super comfortable. Then these, they sounded the best by far, oh well…Now what?

I have never written a review for any of the items I’ve purchased on Amazon but I believe that these were definitely worth reviewing. Just like the other happy customers on here, I mostly only have only good things to say about these beautiful earbuds!I’ve had these buds for a few weeks now. Now I have always been an Apple fanboy, especially with the amazing AirPods! However, 2 months ago I lost a pair of those beauties and thought to myself hmmm this is a great time for me to enter the budget range earbuds. I was strapped for cash and was actually just going to go into the local electronics store and pick one up until I decided to just browse through Amazon in case I stumbled upon something. To my surprise, there was a myriad of earbuds to choose from. One name that kept popping up was TOZO, I had a look through the items in their shop and came across these beauties which resembled the AirPods pro! Now I know it seems that everyone is comparing these to the apple earbuds but I mean common how can we not!? these things sound amazing and are just a fraction of the cost of the apple earbuds! Now that you’ve heard me ramble about my life story let me list out the pros and consPros:1. PRICE PRICE PRICE!! – It’s so cheap for such great quality2. Noise-canceling – The noise-canceling feature is great definitely something I would love to try out on the plane.3. Battery life – The battery life is actually really good you can have these playing for hours at a time without having to put it back in its case to recharge.4. Colour – Again, this is a strict comparison to the Apple AirPods, although the AirPods looked beautiful in black my case and the AirPods itself would gain a lot of dirt even though I kept it relatively clean! You won’t get the same issue with these beauties. The sleek matt black color keeps the TOZO NC2 from looking dirty.5. Sound – Personally, I love the sound of the TOZO NC2. However, it may not be to everybody’s liking especially due to the high bass. But if you are a bass head like me then you will love these!6. Working out – These earbuds are excellent to workout in, with my AirPods I had to purchase a separate adapter so the damn thing would fit in my ears and not fly halfway across the room. I found that I can get through a whole workout without any issues and they are super comfortable!Cons1. Case quality – the case quality is not the greatest it does feel a bit cheap, I only say that because it is not as polished or heavy as the AirPods case. However, this may be a good thing for some people.2. Connectivity – These earbuds do not connect to two devices at once, you have to manually disconnect from one and then reconnect to another which is probably the only annoying thing about the product.3. Max volume – I have found that if you increase the volume too high on your TOZO NC2’s the mids can get quite high, this leaves a very uneasy feeling to the listener. But I don’t see anyone putting these earbuds to the max. I feel like they are already quite high even at half volume.I honestly had to think really hard about the cons because there aren’t too many. If you are like me and are moving over from AirPods or are searching for budget-friendly earbuds. Then definitely get these, you cannot go wrong. For the price and quality of these earbuds, I am guessing you won’t find anything better.

UPDATETOZO Customer Support ended up contacting me on this issue and apologizing for the troubles I had. Even though they weren’t able to do anything about the prior issue, they were kind enough to send me a new upgraded pair of wireless earbuds (crystal black earbuds) for my troubles. They are great and perform very well. Although they do not have the noise cancelling feature i still find that they are of great quality and work well as my office go-to pair. Thank you for reaching out TOZO customer service, i greatly appreciate your dedication to your customers.ok sooooo…Its a very bittersweet product. hit or miss. I bought that product 4 different times because of the great reviews. The first 3 gave me problem a week after using, and since i use them all day at work those problems come fairly quickly. The first and second pair worked well for 2 weeks before the left bud went out and never came back on. That was a huge bummer but at least is was within the return window. The 3rd pair had a connectivity issue and wouldn’t stay connected or if it did, it would be weak at best. again i was lucky enough to have it happen within the first few weeks. NOW Im on my 4th pair, and so far they have been 8/10. Don’t get me wrong, the product is GRAND when they works. The sound is amazing, they fit well in my ears, they do a good job of canceling road noise when Im in the car on a call, the hold a charge all day and I only recharge them once a week. They are very similar to the AirPods and i love that. The problem with this pair is they also have a slight CONNECTION PROBLEM. Especially on a phone call or zoom/teams meetings. if i don’t already have them in my ears and connected before the call starts, they will connect and disconnect a million times making it impossible to use. At that point i just have to put them away and do my call without them. ALSO they don’t disconnect and tun off when you put them back in the case. I often have to turn my bluetooth off on my phone to get them to disconnect. not a huge deal but it kills the battery and is a hassle when trying to figure out why your sound isn’t working when you thought the earbuds had been placed in their case and turned off.i would probably recommend to a friend but to be weary of the problems I explained above, but for the money i paid… they are a decent deal. (bought them on sell)hope this helps!
I am a real reviewer. Not some Review Bot –
*I do not/did not receive any kind of gift card or discount for doing a good review. If you read any of my past reviews I don’t jack around with that. This review is 100% my own non biased opinion.*Just like the title says. These were my 4th attempt at some BT ear buds and I was ready to give up until these. All the previous BT ear buds around this price range were pure rubbish. Most had major connectivity issues in the sense that the signal would drop out if it basically was not in direct sight of my or even my girlfriends phones. They also would randomly try to pair with other BT devices. Just a host of bad experiences. Also, it makes it really tough these days to trust any reviews because they all try to game the system with gift cards or refunds if you remove a bad review. My overall rating on these would be 4.5 stars as they are not perfect, but for the price and how well they perform I bumped them up to 5.- Audio Nerd Stuff:The sound of these is on par for their price range.. They do sound “good” to almost “great” but lets not get carried away. They are dang good for the price range. They do bass but that’s the one part I am having trouble getting dialed in. Instead of the sub 100hz hitting really good like some of the sony headphones, these are more tuned for that upper mid bass. They are heavier in the 100-250hz zone which is tough to try to EQ correctly. I spent a good while trying to tune 100-250hz down while keeping sub 100hz good but found it difficult. Not sure why but these head phones love that upper mid bass vs sub bass. No big deal though. The high’s and mids are flat but don’t read that in a bad way. Flat is pretty good. When companies start cranking high’s or other dynamic ranges it tends to wash out the actual music. Again for the price, these are good to great headphones. No complaints. Oh yeah the stereo separation on this was actually damn good! I always felt BT audio didn’t do that well. These do.- Fit:Well of course this is relative, but for me they did well. I’d say the fit for me is 4 out of 5 stars. I wore them on a 100mi bike ride and I only had to kind of secure or push them back in deeper a few times due more to sweat than fit. They were comfy for the 5.5hrs I was on the bike- Signal:This is where they are a freaking home run for me. NOT ONCE in that 100mi did I ever drop a signal. I was blown away. With all the previous BT earbuds I have tried all of them would drop a signal from really bad like every 5 seconds to like a couple times an hour. Not these! Not one time did they cut out or drop the signal.- ANC:Active Noise Cancelling. Well there is no special like technology that cancels noise on these.. Dumbest marketing term that is blown out of proportion these days. They are buds that go in your ears…That’s the noise cancelling part.- Transparency Mode:They are marketing this as if it something ground breaking. You enable this mode and it’s literally just a band pass filter that gets in enabled. All this mode does it basically cut all the bass off via band pass filter . Kind of dumb but whatever.- Charging Case:It’s smaller than most and usb C. Not much more to say. Magnets pull it down.. It’s awesome and I appreciate the smaller size case compared to others I have tried.- Touch control:Worked very well compared to previous BT ear buds I’ve tried. Lots of times it’s really hard to tape the ear bud in the right spot to skip a track or whatever, but with these I found it very easy.- Mic:I have not tried or used this for a call yet.- Battery Life:So far it’s been great. I did that 5.5hrs bike ride and they lasted the whole ride. I do understand all these companies claim bold statements on battery life and typically you are lucky to get half of what they claim. However, these made it 5.5hrs. It remains to be seen how long this will last for.. That’s another common theme you see with BT ear buds is they work great at first then get bad quick.. Like in a month.- Wireless Charging.I had to set the case like dead center on my wireless charger to work but it does work. I have to do that with my phone too so no points off there. So that’s basically it. I mean there’s other non relevant stuff like the packaging it came in was nicer than others, but that doesn’t matter.I will buy more products from this company in the future. I am finally happy.

So here I am ready to write up this fine review. I actually ordered these around black Friday in 2021, ordered 2 pairs for myself assuming I, or my son would lose an ear-bud. I bought a 3rd pair for my father-in-law. I spent a total of $98 for 3 pairs($28-$34USD each), beat that Raycon! I’m a big fan of guys-talking or Podcasts as people call them so I’ve used the same headphones DAILY while I work IT and Incident Management 8-11hours per day, 5 days a week. I’ve also popped these bad boys in when falling asleep for a nice motivational podcast a few nights a week.I’m an Arizona resident and recently my pool went swamp green after a dust storm in October(rare), being that chlorine is expensive enough to finance, I opted to drain my pool. So here I am, listening to Joe Rogan, ripping some legal Blue Dream and cleaning my empty pool with liquid chlorine and muriatic acid. While having the jolliest of times sucking filtered air through a respirator and wearing heavy duty rubber gloves – I felt an ear bud slipping out my ear from all the movement(rare). Being there was flesh burning acid on my gloves, I hoped for the best but needless to say the headphone fell out my ear and tumbled into a pool of acid and chlorine. At the time it was night, my headlamp wouldn’t shine through the fog of acidy water pooled up. I felt defeated, a whole year of not losing these important headphones and the time I contemplated using them, I lose one. I tried to scoop out the ear bud but couldn’t see it in the water, so in the baking soda/soda ash and acid neutralizing chemicals go to start draining out this concoction. After about 20 minutes, I spot the ear bud and assume its fried and probably shouldn’t place it in my ear hole after it soaked in ACID for 20ish minutes. I was determined though, never will I pay more than $35 for simple headphones that bang. After finishing the pool acid wash, I cleaned up. Took the headphone to a glass bowl, dumped a heap of baking soda and some water to make a paste and submerged the headphone while stirring it around. Then I poured vinegar all over the headphone to hopefully neutralize the acid this headphone absorbed for 20ish minutes. My hopes were cloud 9.I set this earbud on my work desk with a fan pointed toward it and forgot about it for about 24-26 hours. The next day, I placed a new rubber fitting(these come with many different sizes) and popped it in my ear. To my hopes, she worked like she had never soaked in acid. I can only hope I do not lose my ear, ear drum, get cancer or die but I’ll be damned if I spend more money on headphone to listen to guys talking (podcasts).Updated: The date is 12/12/21, about 6 weeks later. I also run a detail business. So here I am tackling a 2016 F150 king cab long bed, jamming guys talking with my Tozo NC2s in my ear holes. Quite the long interior cleanup with a basic exterior hand wash including removal off splattered egg that’s been beaten by the sun(damn teens, always uncalled for). The in-laws had the traditional Christmas pizza cookout party at 530pm and time was running tight. The time came to pack up but I had an unexpected visit about a Dodge RAM TRX in which I popped out my Tozo ear buds and left them on the side of bed rail of the F150.. I was in a rush to pack up and go, given I had lost time trying to score another detail job,… I forgot to get my oh so important ear buds! Luckily I had my backups and still had to go back to the truck about 56 hours later but what happens in that time? Phoenix gets unexpected rain. A good amount of rain. And the owner was bound to drive his newly cleaned out truck. Nerves were definitely high but didn’t bother to tell the owner as I figured my earlier mistake dooped me out of my ol’ trusty ear buds…The day had come, a quick touch up of the F150. The first thing I looked for? Ear buds. Where could they be?! Immediately I found one! Hopes were anxiously high but the job had to be done as I had obligations to get back to my son. After finishing the job, I gave a most stellar search through the wet rock and puddled water to find the second ear bud!! This fine piece of hardware was smoothered into mud that I had stepped in previously while cleaning the truck. Oh boy. Yet excitement was high and curious if it was to soaked to work again. I mean it sat in drenched mud for over 16 hours… Being a detailer I had rubbing alcohol handy and gave both ear buds a thorough cleanup. I couldn’t wait and immediately popped them in my charging case to see their simple white charging light brighten my hopes and instantly tried to take over my Bluetooth connection of the 2nd pair of earbuds which I currently had in my ear holes! Now I’m listening to guys talking as I type this now with these truely tested ear buds! Worth your money folks. Enjoy! And I guess that is just showbiz baby————–I wasn’t put on this earth to review this product but I’d be damnrd if I didn’t. Today is Wednesday, 1/18/2023. Post pandemic. The US dollar is becoming the next penny. I’m working my IT job for 9.5 hours long for thousands of penny’s and and using my Tozo noise canceling ear buds to listen to guys talking and the time comes to get off work. My wife and 2 year old boy went on a walk to the park only a few blocks away so I figure, “why not hop on the bicycle and go find them? Heck I could still listen to guys talking while getting my heart pumping.” So that is exactly what I did, ….but the wrong direction. I rode 1 mild the wrong way and back tracked 1.7 miles the right way. Luckily I spot my wife and 2 year old son who told me “dad! Rip the meanest wheelies you’ve done in 10 years!” ….I obliged. I ripped numerous wheelies. One wheelies sent me on my behind(ass). This must of been when my Tozo earbuds went missing…..Fast forward 3 hours; I’m looking for the Tozies, anxious for some guys talking and to do some house chores… They’re no where to be seen. They’re not connecting… “dang nabbit!!” I screamed in my head. ‘They must be in the street when I was going extreme’ ..I grab my boy and have him hold the wheel while I shine my craftsman flashlight out the window. “HOLY SHNIKES! TOZO!” I gasped! There they were in all there well built glory, nestled on the side of the road. Not sure but they may of even been ran over but guess what? Yeah, they still work just fine! Thank you Tozo!__________________________I guess, …my final update. Its 5/22/2023.My Tozo NC2s had to succumb damage to the new family Golden Retriever puppy. She’s a joy, but she ended a great streak of reliable, well built Tozo NC2s. I definitely felt some defeat, a few sorrows, a few cries of “whyyyyyy?!!!!” but somehow knew it was coming with the pupp chewing on anything that isn’t a dog toy. So the next few days I had used my old Tozo NC2s but found that the noise cancelling feature through touch had stopped working. This annoyed me greatly as I like to focus while working my jobs and need that feature especially for detailing vehicles. After about 5-6 weeks of dealing with the old pair, I found myself ordering another pair of some Tozies (hip name for TOZO NC2s). They were delivered by Amazon within the same day, about 7 hours later. What a joy! I finally got paired back with a great working pair of Tozies to cancel out my family noise, vacuums, air compressors and all the noises of life so I could simply listen to guys talking. Music has even become more appreciated with this new set. Chris Stapleton’s voice sounds like I have my eyes closed listening to him in a padded room, its phenomenal! And great to get back to music. Since the new pair has been delivered, Penny the pupp has gotten ahold of the right ear-bud but didn’t do enough damage to stop its great sound output or its ‘stop / start’ features with a simple finger tap. AGAIN, highly recommend the 5-star TOZO NC2s, nothing will beat the price for a solid quality product! You may ask, “What is next to review, Stefan?” Well.. I’ll be out there giving great honest reviews on ye ol’ Google to restaurants and stores. I hope you all live a blessed life and consider the Tozies for purchase as they are worth every American Penny. Over and Out folks!

So this are my 3rd pair of TOZO brand headphones over a 5-6 year span. These are my 2nd pair of ANC TOZO NC2 brands . These sound amazing , especially when the noise canceling is activated. And with the price you really can’t complain. Out of all 3 pairs , this headphones I got now , this is the first time something has been wrong (which isnt bad). So the left headset would make a sound as if somebody was blowing air into a microphone . I emailed TOZO support and right away they sent a brand new replacement pair for free and got to to keep my old ones . Just goes to show how underrated this company and these headphones are.If you’re thinking about buying some, I strongly suggest these TOZO NC2 headphones with the ANC . Can’t go wrong .

I’ve been falling in love with this set of earbuds from TOZO. Get it. You won’t regret it!It’s not the cheapest nor as expensive as the Apple Airpods Pro earbuds at $250. But its functions are almost identical to the AirPods Pro.ANCThe best feature of the NC2 is its active noise canceling function. I’ve compared its ANC capability with my Airpods Pro by doing my “bathroom test.” My first-floor bathroom has a very noisy fan on the ceiling. It’s the best place to do an ANC test in the house. I can barely hear the fan on my Airpods Pro with the ANC on. If Airpods Pro is a 10 on a 1-to-10 effectiveness scale (10 being most effective), I would give TOZO NC2 a close 9. I was pleasantly surprised since I liked how it sounds, and wanted it to have a good ANC feature! The ANC is turned on and off by the touch-sensitive button on the outer casing. One-touch on the left earbuds turns it on and doing that again turn off the ANC and turns on the TRANSPARENCY mode. Any touch-sensitive button can be misread by the device (perhaps this is why Apple did not use a touch-sensitive feature on its Airpods Pro). But I found an effective way to turn on and off the features on the NC2’s–to turn on the ANC mode, touch the left earbud’s button (outer casing) and keep it pressed for a fraction a second, then take your finger off. This is a sure way to make the device read it as a 1-touch command (and not a 2-touch command) in order to turn on the ANC or the TRANSPARENCY mode. I do the same on the right earbud (which is for forwarding to the next song).TRANSPARENCY ModeA good set of earbuds with a good ANC feature should also have an effective transparency mode. And it does. Once it’s on, I can hear everything around me when I’m on a walk around the neighborhood with my dog. But there’s one aspect of the NC2’s transparency mode that’s not as good as the AirPods Pro–it’s when it’s windy outside. I was on a walk around the neighborhood with my dog, and the wind was about 16 mph. Hissing sound of the wind was noticeable. But when the wind is below 10 mph (which is typical in my area), there’s no hissing sound. So, when I’m on a Costco or Target run, I take my NC2’s. On a very windy day going for a walk, I take my Airpods Pro or my TOZO T5 Sport (that has an ear hook that’s great for walking and running).SOUNDI love the bass on the NC2’s. It’s punchy and boomy (when the music warrants it). But the bass is not so pronounced like my T12’s that are designed for bass lovers. The NC2’s give you a nice balance of the bass, the mids, and the highs. I would say its sound is close to the TOZO NC9’s.CONNECTIONWhen you open the case on the NC2, your paired device will display: “TOCO NC2 Connected.” That’s what I get on my iPhone 8. So, the connection is immediate.DISTANCEWith my NC2 earbuds on (and playing music) I walked 2 rooms away (separated by walls–not an open concept floor plan) from my iPhone 8. The connection was great; there was no flickering or cutting out at all. I was quite impressed by the earbuds’ ability to maintain the connection!ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT (This is for TOZO)I have medium-sized hands (they’re always dry), and it’s not easy to take out the earbuds from the case–notably, this difficulty occurs with earbuds that are designed with a stem, like the Apple Airpods Pro. I have a slightly easier time taking out my Airpods Pro from its case as compared to the NC2’s. Yet, earbuds that are not designed with a stem, like the TOZO T12, the T10, and the NC9, are WAY easier to take out of the case than my Airpods Pro. So, earbuds with a stem have this typical issue. My recommendation to TOZO is if at all possible, to use a more grippy plastic or design the earbuds to be more grippy somehow. This issue is not a deal-breaker, but if I were at the helm of TOZO, I would focus on this as one of the features to improve on the NC2’s going forward.CONCLUSION: NC2’s are my go-to earbuds at home, in the office, and on a Target run, hands down. I only use my Apple Airpods Pro on a very windy day out on a walk with my dog. Right now, that seems to be the only time I am pulling out my Airpods Pro’s–all other occasions pull me toward my NC2’s!

I had seen some reviews on various sites saying that these Tozo NC2 ANC are a good reasonably priced alternatives to Apple AirPods Pros. They were on a cyber/black Friday week sale so I figured I would give them a shot. I have AirPods Gen 2 (not Pros) as a comparison.Sound QualityWOW, it does have very rich and deep base. Much better than my basic AirPods. I actually had my older son try them since he does have AirPod Pros and he said they have great balance and when I told him how much I paid for them he was really surprised.Noise CancellationI saw one review that incorrectly said the Active Noise Cancellation was no more than static. That is NOT ANC mode, that “static” is basically amplifying the sounds around you so that you can hear sounds, announcements if you are wearing them and need to hear sounds around you. ANC mode is pretty good on these. I have Bose QuietComfort 45 headsets for travel and these act the same when ANC is activated It blocks everything out and almost sounds like you are in a soundproof room.Battery LifeI have only been using these for a couple of weeks but so far they have done well. My only complaint is on my iPhone it shows the battery level on the earbuds but not the case where AirPods show up both levels. But again for the price I can live without having that extra feature :-)Customer ServiceI used these earbuds this week for a call and was told I was not clear. I checked them today via Zoom to be able to test the microphone, and could hear buzzing. I emailed Tozo and was not expecting to hear from them for at least a day. I was contacted within 20 minutes with some troubleshooting steps. The steps did not work and within another 20 minutes I was offered a replacement since it appears it has a defective mic on my earbuds. So far it’s been fantastic Customer ServiceAgain, for the price I’m not expecting the same material quality as the AirPods Pros. The plastic on the earbuds and the case are noticeably less quality than Apple but picking these up for $32+tax it’s a great tradeoff vs paying $180.

An UPDATE: for about a year, this product served me extremely well. It even survived an accidental wash machine episode when I forgot to take them out from my pocket. It didn’t work right away after the accident, but regained the function the next day, probably because something gradually dried up inside. I was very surprised by the robustness of this product. In a recent trip, I unfortunately lost the set, so I went ahead to buy another set immediately without any hesitation. It arrived on the same day, and I was able to pair the thing with my phone within literally seconds.THE ORIGINAL REVIEW:I tried this product out of desperation. It surprised me in every aspect and made my life easier. Prior to this, I had always struggled with Bluetooth earphones. I needed them, but could not found one that was satisfactory, and they kept breaking due to the way I use them. I had probably gone through more than 10 of them in the past. And I despised the ear buds. Always went for the boom style, thinking that the earbuds are just a fad, and you really needed a boom to have better acoustics. Always go for the substance not gimmicks, that is the principle I try to follow. But what a surprise. When it comes to Bluetooth earphones, these earbuds are simply a far superior product. They solve several critical problems which I have had with all boom-based Bluetooth earphones:(1) automatic connection and disconnection. It simply works perfectly with these earbuds. You take it out and put it on, it is automatically connected with the phone. You put it back to the case, it automatically disconnects. There is no extra thing you need to do. And it is completely reliable, and I have never had a single time in the last few months that this didn’t work. In comparison, connection and disconnection is always a big problem with the boom-based Bluetooth earphones. You always need to switch the phone on and off manually, and most of them don’t have the right kind of switches to do this easily. Most of them use a multifunction button which makes a simple on-off switch so painfully difficult. This number one problem is completely gone with these beautiful earbuds.(2) because of their compactness, these are designed to come with a case which you can carry in your pocket all the time without any difficulty. I like to put my Bluetooth earphone always in my pocket so I can use it anytime and anywhere. But for this very reason, I always manage to break the device within the first year, hence the need to buy another frequently. But these earbuds are neatly placed in a small hard case, altogether with a compactness quite comparable to a bare boom-based Bluetooth, easily placed in a pocket. The big difference is that these are completely secured with no moving parts exposed, so I don’t see how these can be broken just because I carry them in a pocket.(3) and because the small case also doubles as a battery, it has automatic backup charge, making the battery life of this thing phenomenal. With boom Bluetooth earphones, you’d be lucky to get more than seven hours of use time per charge, which is usually a couple of days at best for me. But these easily go over a month. Because I usually use only one of the two earbuds each time, they just go on and on. Even if you use both earphones to listen to stereo music, these will still last for a very long time, many times longer than the typical battery life of Bluetooth earphones.I don’t recall a time I was more satisfied with an electronic product. These are simply perfect. I only hope that they don’t somehow invent a new thing in the future to replace this product but only turn out to be less perfect than these.
