Overall summary for these headphones (purchased in khaki color): I definitely recommend them, especially as a WAY more affordable dupe to Beats that look just as good. Can’t speak for longevity since I’ve only had them a few weeks but I have other TOZO Bluetooth headphones that are still going strong so I’m confident that these will too.Now the details…My main purpose for buying these were for use at the gym, which they work great. I’m someone who likes my music pretty loud, especially while working out, and the volume on these can get there while still sounding clear – even when battling the loudness from a really busy gym. Even though I saw the features for noise cancellation and microphone prior to buying, they again weren’t the real purpose I bought them. However, I’ve been so impressed with both of these features as well, especially the noise cancellation capabilities, so I’m getting a lot more use than I expected out of these. As someone whose cell phone lives on low battery, I’m terrible about charging any & all electronics so I appreciate the battery life for these headphones so far. Can’t speak for how long it takes to fully charge since I left it to charge overnight, but I’ve had these for a few weeks and have only had to charge them once. The look of these is way more expensive than they actually are. The monochromatic matte khaki color is perfect. I don’t always trust the pictures and was concerned it might be too yellow but it’s definitely not at all. It’s true-to-color when compared to the listing photos. (Side note to TOZO, please release a dark brown version of these)For comfort, I do have pretty small ears but these fully cover my ear so the cushion part is not sitting on top of my ear but instead around it – which really makes them a lot more comfortable for me. I haven’t had to wear them for longer than an hour consecutively but have had no issue with comfort during that time.

When it comes to high-quality headphones, the TOZO HT2 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones go head-to-head with the renowned Bose QC35.**Sound Quality: TOZO HT2 (5/5) vs. Bose QC35 (4.5/5)**The TOZO HT2 offers Hi-Res Audio and a customizable EQ via its dedicated app, providing an edge in tailoring the sound profile to individual preferences. While the Bose QC35 delivers impressive sound, the TOZO HT2’s deep bass and personalized audio tuning via the app give it a slight advantage for those seeking a truly immersive listening experience.**Active Noise Cancellation: TOZO HT2 (5/5) vs. Bose QC35 (4.8/5)**Both headphones excel in active noise cancellation, but the TOZO HT2’s hybrid ANC technology stands out with its adjustable noise-canceling feature. This flexibility allows users to find the perfect balance between blocking out external noise and staying aware of their surroundings, giving the TOZO HT2 a slight edge in versatility.**Battery Life: TOZO HT2 (5/5) vs. Bose QC35 (4.5/5)**The TOZO HT2 dominates in the battery life department with an impressive 60 hours of playtime, outshining the Bose QC35. This extended battery life makes the TOZO HT2 a compelling choice for those who prioritize long-lasting performance during travel or extended use.**Comfort and Design: TOZO HT2 (5/5) vs. Bose QC35 (4.7/5)**Both headphones prioritize comfort, with plush padding and ergonomic designs. However, the TOZO HT2’s foldable design and slightly lighter build enhance its portability, making it a tad more convenient for on-the-go users compared to the Bose QC35.**Connectivity and Controls: TOZO HT2 (5/5) vs. Bose QC35 (4.8/5)**Bluetooth connectivity is seamless on both models, but the TOZO HT2’s touch-sensitive controls on the ear cups offer an intuitive and user-friendly experience. The Bose QC35’s controls are excellent but fall slightly behind in terms of responsiveness compared to the TOZO HT2.**Conclusion:**In the clash of titans, the TOZO HT2 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones emerge as a formidable contender against the Bose QC35. With superior battery life, customizable sound profiles, and intuitive touch controls, the TOZO HT2 stands out as an excellent choice for those seeking a perfect blend of performance and versatility in their audio experience.

My initial impression when I put these on was that the ear cups were a bit small for my ears and they sounded good but the base was a bit punchy / pronounced. After wearing them for awhile, I decided that although my ears touched the sides they cups are quite cushy and surprisingly comfortable. I can wear these for hours without discomfort. I also decided that I liked the sound and wore them for several hours enjoying music and listening to a podcast that day.I’m going to compare the sound and ANC quality to several other headphones / earbuds that I own – Bose QC II earbuds, TOZO Golden X1 earbuds and Sennheiser Momentum 3 headphones.I had no problem getting them paired to my phone and connected in the TOZO app. On first connection to the app, it found a firmware update and that got installed with out issue. This is what I expect but there are other products (notably the Bose QC IIs) that bluetooth and app connections can be an issue. The controls are intuitive and easy to use. I’ve found this to be true with all of the TOZO products that I’ve tried.Sound quality: I like listening to them. The highs are crips and the base is punchy with out being muddy. I notice that compared to my Sennheiser’s especially, the HT2s sound a but closed in – the Sennheiser’s and the Bose both feel more expansive – have a wider soundstage. The HT2s have a wider soundstage than the Golden X1s tho. This is kinda expected tho – both the QC II and the Momentum 3’s cost 5-6 times more than the HT2s. Excellent sound for the price.ANC: I found the HT2’s ANC to be just OK. They perform similarly to my Momentum 3’s. I tested using fan noise – a bathroom fan as well as a speaker playing music. The QC IIs are the gold standard here – they almost completely blocked out the fan noise as well as the music. The Momentum 3s and the HT2s blocked maybe 1/2 of the fan noise. I noticed that they both blocked almost all of the lower frequency fan noise but let thru the higher frequencies. The performance using music was similar – again lower frequencies were attenuated more than high ones. The Golden X1s ANC was marginally worse in both categories although similar. Bose generally wins this contest.Pass thru mode: Again the Bose performed the best but I was quite happy with the pass thru mode for the HT2s. I could easily carry on a conversation in pass thru mode without taking them off of my head.Similar to music, the HT2s were very similar to the Momentum 3’s and slightly better than the Golden X1s.Bottom line – these are definitely worth the asking price. Good sound, comfortable, OK ANC and good pass thru mode.

Full disclosure: I received a very large discount for these from TOZO.I have tested several TOZO products in the past. The quality has steadily been improving for their products. I am comparing these with my Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones, which I consider the top of the line benchmark. I have owned the Bose QC before and Sony takes the prize. While the Sony XM5’s beat out the TOZO HT2s, it is not by a huge margin as many would think. Given that the TOZO headphones are just $49.99, this is a huge value.Sound: The HT2s come very close to replicating the sound of the XM5s. Tozo has an app that allows you to adjust the equalizer like Sony. There are a bunch of preset settings, but the equalizer allows you to adjust the settings based on what you like the most and based on what types of music you listen to. For reference, I am streaming on a Samsung S21 Ultra with LDAC enabled and streaming Dolby Atmos quality songs from Amazon Music.Noise cancelling: The way the XM5s fit around the ear does a little better job than the HT2s, but it is not by a large margin. The transparency mode for the HT2s is also very clear. Full disclosure, I have not yet tested these for phone calls. But given the accurate transparent mode, they will probably sound great for phone calls, like the XM5s.Comfort: The XM5s still have a significant leg up in terms of comfort. While you could probably wear the XM5s for 3-4 hours with no discomfort, the HT2s could probably go for 1-2 hours. This is still fantastic for $50 headphones. If you’re watching a movie on a plane, I’m sure you could go for 2-3 hours and not notice much discomfort. But if you want to use noise-cancelling and sleep, you may notice it more. The HT2s just feel a little bit too snug. But they are also probably less likely to fall off.The HT2s don’t come with a case, but at $50 this is still a good value. The battery seems to last a very long time. The Bluetooth connection seems just as good as on the XM5s.Summary: TOZO reminds me of how far KIA cars have come relative to Toyota from 2005 until now. The HT2s are legitimate contenders in the over the ear headphones space that we should take seriously, especially at $50.

I’ve tried several TOZO earbuds, this is my first over the ear headphones. At this point I think it’s safe to say that TOZO is a quality brand. Always delivering the most technology in well-built products for just a handful of dollars. The HT2 are no exception.I purchased these for $39 and they are worth that price. My go to ear buds are the 3rd generation Apple AirPods, A very different product, they are the kind that sit in the ear without pushing them into the ear canal. Though the two are very different products I want to contrast them for anyone unsure on what type they might purchase. Where my AirPods are accurate the HT2’s are atmospheric and rich. My AirPods offer a graphic equalizer with many similar sounding presets, Tozos HT2 works with their free app that has more widely varying sound presets but also a authentic slider equalizer to tune your preferred sound in exactly and then save it as your custom setting of which you can program many. This really quickly becomes a must have once you’ve dialed in your perfect sound. The base is full and not distorted. The treble is crisp and resonate and the mid range is wide and it pulls the base and treble together nicely. I really wish the volume went up just one more notch. Perhaps it will in a future software update of which is done easily through the TOZO app. There’s something about putting on over the ear headphones that really bring you someplace else especially with the “ Adaptive Hybrid Active Noise Canceling” tech. In comparison with earbuds it’s like the sound is in a full auditorium as opposed to,well, earbuds. Over the ear headphones are arguably more comfortable also. There’s a lot of technology here in a well-built package. The fact that I’m comparing these $39 headphones to a $149 product says a lot. To be certain my AirPods have an accuracy and clearly defined instruments and vocals that will have me likely preferring them for my singer songwriter favorites over the HT2. Maybe all my listening will go over to the over the year headphones. I’m writing this review as my first impressions are formulating. I don’t have info on battery performance or noise canceling yet. But I’m sure they’re up to par with TOZO’s other offerings.I’m really looking forward to enjoying these some more and I’ll update this review if I can with anything else I can speak to.

This is a overall good headphone, nice materials, thick pads. the ANC works just fine. I think the bass is not as deep as other brands, It’s a more balanced type sound. It’s not skull crushing type of vibrating headphone. The padding is nice and comfortable. I can see myself wearing it for long hours of walk and work.It fit’s securely on my head, I don’t see any rattling noises, everything is put together firmly.Overall 4 of 5.

Was looking for a pair of bluetooth over-the-ear headphones for listening to music in an indoor listening environment with significant background noise. I wanted decent sound & active noise reduction without spending a fortune. These TOZO HT-2 headphones seemed to meet those requirements, along with a solid set of features. I own several TOZO earbuds and have always found them to provide solid sound performance and excellent reliability. I found the sound on these headphones to be excellent and readily customizable using the TOZO app on my iPhone. The app has a sound equalizer adjustment section with both pre-set & custom profiles to “tune” the sound to your music type and listening preferences. Initial bluetooth connection was simple and the bluetooth connection my iPhone 13 Pro was solid. Future connections at power-on were automatic and reliable. These headphones also allow for a wired connection to your music source using a 3.5mm audio cord (included) & the connector on the bottom of the right earpiece. This allowed me to connect the headphones to my MacBook Pro for excellent sound quality, as well. However, you will have to connect to your phone via BT to make any sound qualifier adjustments via the app as there is no app support for macOS or Windows. Noise reduction was very competent, with several active types of NR that can be selected in the TOZO app. The wearing comfort was excellent even when wearing them continuously for several hours. The ear cups are covered with a soft leather-like material and fully covered by big ears to provide a complete seal to my head, without being too tight and uncomfortable. Battery life seems very good with the app showing over 50% battery left after 6 hours of continuous use. Can’t comment on the on-board mike and phone call capability as I do not use them for that purpose. Overall, I’m very pleased.

The Tozo HT2 is a great, budget-friendly headphone/headset! At the time I got them, they were $50 with a $10 off coupon, so I figured I’d give them a try since I’ve had prior experience with Tozo products—specifically, the T10 Bluetooth earbuds. If you’re curious, I still use the T10 earbuds everyday for running, working out, and walking my dog. But as expected, the HT2 is another fantastic product made by Tozo.I’ve had these headphones for exactly a week now and can say that I am more than impressed by their quality! The first thing that you will notice is the packaging. It is very sleek and modern. Inside the box, you’ll find the headphones, a quick instructions guide, a slightly more in-depth instructional pamphlet, some promotional material for their App and warranty, a ~2-foot USB-C cable, and a ~3-4 foot aux cable with 1/8th inch ends. The HT2 feels like it is made of pretty good quality plastic. The speakers are marked “L” and “R” for easy identification and are surrounded by comfy foam. The right speaker has four buttons, including the power button, a connected + and – button for controlling the volume (I’m counting these as two separate buttons), and a noise-canceling (NC) button.Holding the power button for about three seconds will turn the headphones on/off. Syncing the headphones was incredibly fast and easy. In mere seconds, I was listening to music. I ended up downloading the Tozo App, which allows you to play with the settings so you can customize things like the bass, mid-tones, and treble. The first time messing with the settings, I couldn’t tell if it was affecting the sound. Turns out, I had to update it. Here is one of the few cons of the HT2, updating the headphones through the App took about 10 minutes, which is fine. However, upon clicking on the “Update” tab, it doesn’t give you a warning pop-up or anything, it just starts updating, and during that time, you have to keep the headphones and phone powered on. The App says not to exit from it while it is updating either, so for about 10 minutes, I had to stare at a loading screen while worrying about whether my phone would go into sleep mode if I wasn’t constantly tapping at it. However, since the update, the headphones respond to the customization settings. Speaking of which, the customization settings are pretty in-depth and have about 10 points where you can articulate to your preference. I typically just use the default settings, but I can see people getting into it and editing their settings for specific types of music. But let’s get into the HT2’s sound quality and use case scenarios! The HT2 has great mid and treble tones but seems to be lacking in bass. That being said, I think the sound quality is truly outstanding. I listen to an eclectic range of music and found these headphones doing each genre justice. You can pick out and hear every instrument of a song, and vocals are crisp. These headphones are also good for podcasts as well. I’ve probably put around 25 hours of listening time with these and haven’t noticed anything weird regarding crackling, noise interference, disconnects, etc. I’ve also only charged these twice; the battery is pretty incredible, though I’d imagine it will degrade over time. Currently though, pretty good. The range is also good. I can go anywhere within my apartment (not big, about 850 square feet) and stay connected, even with doors closed/in other rooms. The Noise-Canceling function is pretty good, though it won’t block out loud noises completely, just muffles them. That being said, it made functions like vacuuming and using my food processor less noisy (for me at least lol). I did find them capable of blocking out moderate noises, such as office banter at work. The Noise-Canceling button switches from Noise-Canceling (default), to off, to something called “Pass Through” which I’m not entirely sure what it does, but it seems like it allows noise from outside to be hearable, whereas turning the NC off just seems like you have earmuffs on and can dully hear noise from outside. Since I am on the subject of the Noise-Canceling function for these headphones, I will say that the button placement is kind of weird. When looking at the right speaker head-on, the NC button is at around the 4 o’clock position. The first few times taking the headphones off, I found myself accidentally pressing the button. Eventually, I changed the placement of my fingers when taking them off to avoid this. However, the NC button is very sensitive and doesn’t take much force to activate/change the setting. For example, just taking off the headphones and laying it on a flat surface will often press the button in. This can be jarring when putting the headphones back on after having them off briefly, but not long enough to warrant shutting them off completely. Another minor con I found with these headphones is that they suffer from sound leakage/bleeding. This means that when in use, whatever you’re listening to can be heard from outside. Apparently, this is common for overhead headphones (not earbuds), so that’s why I find this to be a minor issue. That being said, if you work with others in a quiet setting, you might want to either listen at a lower volume or use other headphones/earbuds.So besides listening to music/podcasts/stuff, what else can these things do? Although I’ve only had them for a week, I was able to do some unconventional testing. These headphones act as a headset and have a built-in mic. Turns out, the mic works pretty well. I didn’t use these to make a phonecall, but I tested them by syncing to my laptop to do video meetings for work. I didn’t hear any mentions of them sounding bad or cutting out. The audio from meetings was good too, no echoing, or disturbances that you may get with lesser-quality headsets.Another thing that I tried with these (though I don’t recommend) is audio editing. I used these to edit some sound files through Adobe Audition 2024 and noticed a lot of latency. Granted, this is a problem that affects most Bluetooth headsets. That being said, since these headphones come with an Aux and USB-C cable, I’m sure I could have used either to connect directly to my computer and eliminate that latency.Something cool I decided to do with these headphones is to use the Aux cable to jack into a quarter (¼) inch adapter and into my old Line 6 Spider IV 15-watt practice amp. Turns out, it actually worked! The sound wasn’t that great, but I only spent about five minutes messing around. I was more curious to see if it would work. I’m sure if I put in some time, I could have made it sound better though. Maybe something worth updating on later. One thing that I haven’t been able to do with these (that will also warrant touching upon in a later update) is using these for gaming. The reason being is that I have a PS5 and apparently it requires an adapter/dongle to use Bluetooth devices. To wrap things up, the Tozo HT2 headphones are surprisingly high-quality for a low cost. The sound quality is excellent, though it lacks heavy bass—if that is important to you. The battery life is also really good. Though I didn’t touch upon it, wearing these headphones for longer periods is pretty comfortable. Typically, I find headphones to squeeze/hurt my ears after about an hour, but I’ve been able to keep these on for around four hours before I felt I needed to take them off. The Aux and USB-C cables allow you to directly connect to sources, allowing for flexibility and opening new doors for using these headphones. Though these headphones have some minor drawbacks (NC button sensitivity, weird/long App/headphone updating process, and sound leakage/bleeding), the overall value you get from the HT2s is more than worth the price.12/30/23 – UpdateI used the AUX cable to connect the headphones directly to my PS5 controller and they work great! Especially nice when my downstairs neighbor’s dogs are barking nonstop. With that being said, I don’t play multiplayer games, so I can’t tell you how well the microphone works online or if it defaults to the microphone built into the controller.

These are great over-the-ear headphones–a big improvement over my Cowin set. I like these for a bunch of reasons:1. They weight only 8 ounces (Cowin weighs 9 oz, which is 12% heavier, which makes a big difference when you’re wearing them for an extended period of time such as watching a movie)2. The ear padding and head pad are really soft and comfortable–nicer than my Cowin set.3. The ANC (noise-cancelling) is very good and comfortable. What I like about the TOZO (both these headphones and the earbuds) is that when ANC is on and I’m not listening to anything (it’s quiet) I do NOT get a nauseous feeling–especially when I turn my head. With my Cowin and most other ANC headphones I have tried, I get a queasy feeling when I turn the ANC on and have no audio playing and it gets worse when I turn my head–a bit like vertigo. So, these TOZO’s are a vast improvement for me not to have that vertigo/nausea!4. They talk to you. The headphones have a pleasant voice and tones that tell you what you’re doing with the controls and connecting up on Bluetooth. It plays a tone when you turn them on or off. It makes another tone when it’s looking for a Bluetooth source to connect to. It makes a 3rd tone when it connects and syncs with a device, and then sound starts playing (if the device is playing audio). It tells you what ANC mode you are in: “ANC On”, “ANC Off”, “Pass Through” (Pass Through mode is where the headphones slightly amplify the sound on the external microphone to make it almost like you’re not wearing the headphones). That said, I think I like how the earbuds work better than the headphones in this regard, as the earbuds say “Power On/Off”, “Pairing”, and “Connected” instead of using tones, so it’s easier to understand what the earbuds are doing.5. The controls are straightforward. There is an on/off button (with a raised “O” on it for ease of finding it with your fingers without having to take the headphones off and look at the buttons to see what they do), volume control (with a raised “+” and recessed “-” where the “+” is on the upper side of that button and the “-” is on the lower side of the button–versus the Cowin where the volume up button was on the lower side of the button and the volume down button was on the upper side of the button), and a button for cycling through the ANC modes.6. A big complaint I have had with headphones for decades was having to figure out which side was left and right. All of them had a tiny L or R located somewhere on each earpiece, but they were ALL difficult to see because they were always small and were the same color as the earpiece–and especially hard to see the L or R in low lighting. These TOZO have a *large* L and R inside each earpiece making it really easy to know which side is which. See the attached picture. There is also the standard tiny L and R on the hinge point for each earpiece, both those are also difficult to see and thus not as useful as the large L and R inside the earpieces.7. I like how the headphones fold up pretty flat and are not as bulky to store as those headphones that don’t fold up. See the attached picture.8. The sound is good. I’ve watched a few movies and TV shows and the stereo separation is very good, the sound is clean and crisp.9. The ANC works well in damping out exterior sounds, and it is easy to tell the difference between the 3 ANC modes with these headphones.I also tried using these headphones to make a call on my cellphone. It worked okay but not great. The audio on the call was good, but I was told by my callee that the microphone pickup was staticky and somewhat weak and I made the call from inside the house with no other noise. Also, it just ‘felt’ weird listening to myself when I spoke as it felt to me like my voice was a bit disembodied. So, while we could do the call, it seems the earbuds are a better choice for making calls than the headphones. This is a really minor nit to pick, since I can’t really imagine people would be walking around making calls with these headphones on anyway. My experience with TOZO support has been very good–certainly superior to most other companies. They respond to queries quickly and clearly. They are interested in addressing your concerns and making you a happy (and hopefully repeat) customer.

The TOZO HT2 headphones are surprisingly competent and come at an affordable price point. Let’s dive into the details:Design and Build Quality:-The budget-friendly price is evident in the design, which is functional but not overly stylish. I like the simple look, no flashy badging or unnecessary accents. I did notice other cool colors were available but I stuck with the black. The earpads are made of soft pleather, providing comfort during extended use.The one drawback for me was the size. I have a smaller head and I felt the headphones would sit a little below my ear even on the smallest setting. This also caused the headphones to almost feel a little too big and slosh around. I usually wear a hat which made them fit my head better, not a deal breaker. I am not planning on using these for running or workouts.Sound Quality:-The audio quality is impressive for headphones in this price range. While it benefits from some EQ adjustments, the sound remains natural overall. The TOZO app provides some fun EQ settings which are easily changed. The 40MM dynamic drivers provide good bass. However, like most ANC headphones, you lose that deep rich bass unless you keep ANC on.Active Noise Cancellation (ANC):-The hybrid ANC algorithm, along with three ANC microphones, delivers effective noise cancellation.I was poking around in the TOZO app and found a “reduce wind noise” setting. I was using these on an evening walk with a slight breeze. I am not sure if it seemed different from the normal ANC mode but it seemed to help. For my use, I will pretty much always use the ANC mode on.Battery Life:The TOZO HT2 offers a remarkable battery life of 60 hours per charge, so they say…I can’t confirm that but I have used these for a few hours over a few days on a single charge and still have 80%. I can say they have excellent battery life. These will be perfect for long listening sessions or travel as they are light weight.Additional Features:-The headphones come with a companion app, allowing customization through a custom equalizer, as I mentioned above.Transparency mode lets you stay aware of your surroundings when needed.Cons:-The size as I explained earlier but I do have a smaller than average head. This may not be a problem for you. This was probably my biggest con.Unfortunately, there’s no carrying pouch included in the box but given the price and quality of the headphones, I am glad they didn’t cheap out on quality to fit a case into this price point.Call quality during phone conversations may be underwhelming. In summary, the TOZO HT2 headphones are an excellent value for the price. If you’re looking for budget-friendly headphones with good sound quality, effective noise cancellation, and comfort, the HT2 is worth considering. TOZO seems to have a lot of coupons for these headphones which makes these hard to pass up!
