I recently bought a new Korg Liano, it’s a great lower priced, full 88 keyboard with semi weighted keys. It has USB MIDI IN/OUT, which is great. Also, the back panel includes a Line Out, which in higher end keyboards would consist of a 1/4 inch (6.35mm) TS (mono) or TRS balanced (stereo) male jack, to play through an amp or powered speaker. The Liano has built in speakers but can be played Line out as well, however it’s through the Headphone jack (3.5mm). A headphone jack is smaller and not as robust as the larger, obviously. This chord is a a great benefit to save wear and tear on the installed port. As another review stated, the weight of the inserted 1/4” will be less on contact. Also, it appears well made by a reputable brand.

Bought this in an emergency after the tip of the 3.5mm adapter for my HD518s broke off. I must blame that on my own clumsiness, though that default adapter is HUGE and quite difficult to get out of the back of my PC. I ended up bending it twice and have to force it back into position with pliers. Definitely won’t have the same problem now; this comes out and around the corner like butter.Ordered from Audio Equip and it arrived right on time, with sparse packaging in a cardboard envelope. I was a little worried because the envelope looked like it just walked out of a bar fight, but the adapter was fine. No markings on the product, but the little baggy had a Sennheiser sticker on it. Surely legitimate!Adapter, end to end, measured about 9 and 1/8th inches. May or may not vary slightly. 6.3mm end snapped in very satisfyingly, like munching on a delicious, flavored pretzel bite. With the skinny 3.5mm end I can finally put plug my headphones into my speaker setup for convenience and a little more freedom of movement. Sound is just as fine to me as the default adapter.I must say that the cord felt lighter and much more flexible than my headphones’ cord. Same thickness though. May not be as durable, but it’s pretty short so I don’t expect it to get much wear and tear.I will update as soon as anything goes wrong with it. I could have gone with something cheaper, probably would have been just as sufficient, but I felt safer going with a brand I know makes high quality products. Though the Grado adapter was a little cheaper (possibly better quality??), it did look chunkier, something I was trying to avoid due to how my ports are shaped.

this does what I needed it to do

I got this particular adapter because of the short length of cable between the two jacks. My previous experiences with other adapters – where both jacks are combined into one piece – were that they would easily become bent, loose and noisy. The cable between the jacks relieves the strain on the 3.5mm jack and I don’t forsee any major damage to the adapter happening in the future. As for the 6.3mm jack, it is very, very sturdy, and when you plug in a cable it snaps in very snugly. Gold plating and good shielding provide for superb audio quality. While the price may be a tad steep for an adapter, I feel like this product is going to last for a long, long time and so I consider it a good investment.

Connects perfectly to my HD800 with great sound quality retained. Of course it gotta work! It’s thick, feels robust, very premium!I spent loads of money trying adaptors and 6mm to 3.5mm without wire between is always the most flimsy one by all cheaper options, and contacts breaking with slight shakes or turns. All other options wastes and they all added up costing way more than this premium wire. I didn’t even bother other wired cheaper option cos that’s adding another weak point of signal transmission and the little cost won’t worth my time measuring its signal loss. Just go for this one and no other cheaper options, save your time and confidently enjoy!

The 1/4″ plug seats smoothly and securely, and the small cable keeps the weight of the 1/4″ plug from damaging the 3.5mm socket. The design is perfect. The cheap 1/4″ to 3.5mm adapters typically have the entire mass of the 1/4″ plug and the adapter prying at the 3.5mm socket. This will damage it over time or very quickly if you bump into it. The cheap adapters also can be rough or excessively tight when plugging in the 1/4″ plug. This adapter is sized perfectly for the 1/4″ plug to be inserted smoothly and securely, and it is well worth the extra bit of money.

It works great. Fairly compact. No sound problems whatsoever.

The quality of the adapter feels good and heavy. The cable portion is thick and where it attaches to the plugs had nice amount of flex support. It soils work fine with my 1969 Pioneer SE-30 headphones.Another major selling point for me in buying this specific adapter as opposed to the myriad of other cheap ones, is due to it not being made in China as far a I could tell in the ad. Although it doesn’t say in the ad, it had a made in Taiwan label on the packaging which is OK for me although Germany would have been nice.
