Convenient to use. Clip on the cart and very easy to read as you walk up to the ball. A few nice features that identify distance to hazards and Carrie’s over the water. Simpler than a watch.

I purchased the Garmin Approach G12 golf range finder and it has worked out great for me. I’ve had it for a full golf season and this truly has helped me to become better at figuring out which golf club to use depending on the distance to the green. When you start, it finds the course you are at, it asks if you want to use the score feature, and what color will you be teeing off from. (Black, blue, gold, white, red) It took me a bit to become quick in navigating the buttons to score and advance to the next hole. I had to figure out how to change holes when our start off was not on #1, but was on #10 instead for the back nine. I also save all of my games using the blue tooth connection to the app on my phone, so that I can refer back to them. You can scan all of your games, where you played, your score etc… There are features that I probably am not using as yet but I’ll figure it out eventually. I think for the money, this is small, simple, and easy to carry. I have it on a short lanyard to hang from my belt area.

Typically use rangefinder outside of 100 yards. However, when you are short of the greens and grab your wedge and putter then walk up to your ball. Easy enough to take a quick look and place back in pocket. Must make sure you know the pin placement for the day.

Helps me figure out distance when I’m stuck in the woods and can’t see the pin.

Has everything you would ever want. Has an upside down read so you can clip it on your belt or front pocket and read it without unclipping it. Clip is tight so you wont lose it. Very durable. Easy to read. Very easy to maneuver through while playing a round. Charge lasts forever. I love this device.

I’ve been primarily using a laser range finder and occasionally my phone for GPS yardages. I don’t always like rehaving my phone in my pocket and having front/middle(pin)/back yardages is super helpful. Got this and so far it’s great. I got the little lanyard clip too and hook it to my right hip. The extra length lets me see the screen and use buttons and I like that it’s not needing to be constantly in and out of pocket. Auto hole change works great! Once you get the hang of it it’s very easy to see navigate the screens and see hazards and adjust pin location.

I started golfing and it greatly helps to know how far it is to the flag. My wife purchased a range finder and it was a pain to pull out and sight the target and then put away. I have this clipped on my cap and just take a glance. My wife now uses a phone app with her apple watch and also uses it to keep score and she gets similar distances. I don’t even mess with the garmin phone app. The accuracy seems to be within 10yards of what others even with range finders are determining so plenty good for my skill level.

Love this little thing. It kept me from using my manual rangefinder for awhile, but now I am using them both, depending on the shot.

After many years of reliable service, lost my G10 recently. Bought the G12 as a replacement. Glad I did. G10 battery lasted 3 rounds. G12 lasted 5 rounds with half battery left. Haven’t tested full limits of the battery yet. Love that it syncs up to the phone app so you can see the whole score card. Also like the large font option to see the distances. Just wished there was a little more tactile feedback when clicking the side buttons. All in all, I’m very happy with the device.

Very positive clip, so you can confidently mount upside down on your belt which enables perfect view. All my friends with range finders have bailed on them…..they make me drive up to their ball so I can give them the distance from my Garmin. This thing rocks.
