I recently upgraded my gaming rig with the MSI MPG A1000G PCIe 5 Gaming Power Supply, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This power supply is an absolute beast, and here’s why I’m giving it a 5-star review:Reliable Power Delivery: The 80 Plus Gold certification ensures high efficiency and stable power delivery to all my components. I’ve never experienced any power-related issues since installing it.Silent Operation: The power supply operates almost silently, even under heavy gaming loads. It’s a night-and-day difference compared to my old PSU, and it keeps my setup nice and quiet.Full Modular Design: The full modular design is a game-changer for cable management. I only connect the cables I need, reducing clutter and improving airflow inside my case. This is a boon for anyone obsessed with aesthetics.Ample Power: With a 1000W capacity, this power supply easily handles my high-end GPU and CPU. I have room for future upgrades without worrying about power constraints.Stylish Aesthetics: The design of the power supply complements my gaming setup perfectly. The MSI logo and the overall build quality are top-notch.PCIe 5 Support: Being PCIe 5 compatible is a forward-thinking feature. While I don’t have a PCIe 5 motherboard yet, I appreciate that this power supply is ready for future technology.ATX 3.0 Compliance: The ATX 3.0 specification ensures compatibility with modern motherboards, and I had no issues with installation. In conclusion, the MSI MPG A1000G PCIe 5 Gaming Power Supply is a fantastic addition to any gaming rig. It combines top-tier performance, quiet operation, and a sleek design. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the peace of mind and reliability it offers make it worth every penny. If you’re serious about your gaming setup, this power supply should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!

MSI MPG A850G PCIE 5It combines top tier A performance, quiet operation, and a sleek design. The peace of mind and reliability it offers make it worth every penny. If you’re serious about your gaming setup, this power supply should be at the top of your list. This PSU pairs great with my MSI Z690-A motherboard. The 850 provides more than enough power to my graphics card (3080) and CPU (12900k), even while overclocking. This PSU easily fits inside a midsize tower and runs very quietly.Highly recommended!

Had a 750w psu in a prebuilt (IBP) which was awful and just upgraded to the 850w A850G and my goodness what a difference. Quiet, powerful and have no complaints. Was a bit iffy at first due to all the negative reviews but seems like I got a good one! Without a doubt would recommend.Minor con – The cables are soooo stiff and pretty ugly but if you don’t mind the looks and a bit of forceful bending then its all good lol.

MSI makes quality stuff. My old PC, now 10 years old, has MSI parts that have never failed, so I got even more MSI parts this time around. This PSU has more power than I currently need. I probably could’ve done an 850. It is very quiet – at least, I can’t hear it above the quiet hum of my giant 200mm fans. And this unit has a 10 year warranty. That is the best in the industry, I believe. I like that it is fully modular, so only the cables I need are plugged in.Full disclosure: I made a build mistake and thought I got a defective unit, so did a refund with Amazon before I did a bench test of this PSU, found it worked fine, and then rehooked it up to my PC. The new unit is the one I’ll be sending back to Amazon, unopened, because the first one was fine. The only thing I can think of is that, although I checked every cable three times, the power switch connector may not have been fully seated on my MoBo. My case has this weird tiny box around all of those small molex connectors for power, reset, etc. which bundles them together, making them easier to attach to the MoBo, but each one can move a bit inside that box. So it was possible that while the box itself was all the way down when I checked, that the power switch’s molex connector was not.Anyway, once that I figured that out, everything has been great.

Flexible, Modular, and looks great. Super easy to install. Cables are great and no issues. My new favorite brand.

I like the futureproofing with the ATX 3.0 standard being implemented and dedicated graphics card plug. I also like that it is fully modular as I only need 3 wires and so it keeps my build very clean looking. The nylon bag is a nice to have to keep the extra wires for future use. It’s actually a nice-looking PSU as well. The only con which others have stated, is the stiffness of the wires, the good thing is you one deal with that once.

I needed this for when I upgrade my GPU later the power supply looks feels quality everything was there and everything seems to be working just fine super quiet I didn’t realize how loud my old PSU was until I got this one.I paired it with some nice white cable extension, half of the cables that it comes with feel kind of cheap the other half are braided I’m not sure why they aren’t all braided, but it didn’t matter to me since I was going to use extensions anyway. If I wasn’t using extensions I would have gave it 4 starsThe little MSI bag for all the extra cords is nice too

This is my first experience with an MSI power supply, so far it has been rock solid. 3v5v12v all seem to be within spec, no issues on my system. 7800x3d (AIO360), 7900xtx, on an MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI board, with the usual amount of fans, not even a glitch so far. Fully modular which is a must anymore. My only gripe would be that all cables be nicely wrapped, but that’s being really nitpicky, in this price range the flat cables are good enough. I would purchase another MSI power supply based on my time this far, for the price its fantastic!

Powerful power supply at a decent price. It was very easy to install, especially since you only have to plug in the cables you need.I was surprised to see my unit (MPG A850G) came with the brand new 12V-2×6 connector, since it only just recently “replaced” the 12VHPWR standard; a very nice addition, and one that wasn’t advertised anywhere. My only nitpick is, if your current GPU uses one 8-pin PCIe connector, like my 3060 Ti, then the other PCIe 6+2 plug will just have to hang around loose next to your card, as in my picture.

Not much else to say. I made some major upgrades to my computer (CPU, MB, RAM, SSDs, NVMe’s, etc.) No issues with Cable management, no issues with noise or smell.
