This adapter worked great and lasted me almost two years (going through several pairs of earphones)— until I lost it at the airport. It was still going strong and probably would have lasted much longer. The woven cover did fray after a time and was kind of unsightly, but it still worked just fine. It was also kind of interesting because it only functioned when inserted in one direction (logo-side up), but that wasn’t really a big deal. Definitely recommend!

I am a concert pianist and a big audio listener to various music genres and of course phone calls along the way. This cable is incredibly well built and professional for my ears. There are cheaper versions of this lightening cable which I have purchased. Never again, I know will only buy UGREEN cables.

After buying my first ever iPhone (12), I knew that my existing wired headphones with a traditional 3.5mm plug would need a lightening to 3.5mm port dongle to work. I thought that any dongle would work, so I mistakenly purchased the cheapest dongle I could find on Amazon. That was an incorrect assumption! While the cheaper dongle worked with music, it simply would not work for phone calls (I could not hear the other party through my head phones). I read about the problem on the Apple Community Forum and someone recommended this specific dongle, so I returned the cheaper dongle and bought this one. I was thrilled when I plugged my headphone jack into the UGREEN dongle’s port and then plugged the lighting plug on the other side of the UGREEN dongle into my iPhone. Immediately, my iPhone recognized the UGREEN dongle was connected and popped up a question asking if I connected a headset into the dongle (This question NEVER appeared with the cheaper dongle). Once I answered the question, the “Ear” icon on the my iPhone setting page changed indicating there was a headphone attached (something that the previous dongle didn’t do). I made a call and was able to hear the recipient and he was able to hear me. My headphones don’t have a call or volume buttons, so I can’t say if that feature also works.

This was a sturdy adapter at a reasonable price. Past purchases of these lightning adapters worked fine, but easily broke when I sat down with my phone in my pocket. That’s not been an issue here. This adapter works great and has met my needs without issue. I’d buy it again.
