I bought this adapter to allow me to use USB-A cables and accessories with a mobile phone that has a USB-C port. The adapter works great, and demonstrates compatibility with a variety of cables and adapters, including USB storage drives and automotive OBD cables; the two applications I’ve used so far.The adapter is well-built, the cable is robust, and is just long enough to remain flexible without being unwieldy.

It worked so well that I used it REALLY MUCH like almost every day and it still holds up very well, Jeff Bezos is the best(:

Needed a short USB-C to USB-A cable to use with the charging port on Echo Show stand. Most USB-c to an adapters do not always support charging, only data transfer. The Amazon basics cable did specify charging. Works great and eliminated the need for the brick (charge plug) as I did not have room on my outlet to plug both the Amazon Show and another brick. I will definalty look to Amazon Basics for additional cable /adaptor needs.
Just my opinion –
Works good and meets my needs. Prices just right.

Pretty much, if you want a thunderbolt 3 to USB-A adapter, this is relatively cheap and will work. Nothing much else to say.

Again, durable and worked great.

works as a converter from USB A to USB C … does not work for Wacom tablet as converter.

I immediately purchased this 5 1/2″ cable upon returning from vacation, where we rented a car and discovered that it only had a USB-C port to charge devices. If your device doesn’t connect directly to a USB-C port, on a long road trip you will worry about not having enough power to listen to GPS directions or take pictures on your phone. With this cable, which I will take with me on every trip, I can connect one end to the USB-C port in the rental car and connect the USB-A end to my phone charger. Thank you, Amazon, for carrying this product, which I could not find in any stores on our travels.

I like these and have purchased several. If your USB C ports are spaced closely together, as is the case on a Mac mini, this adapter makes a lot of sense because it has the little cord. The adaptors that don’t have the little cord would be too wide. High quality plastics.

I purchased this for connecting my iPhone 15 Pro Max to an external DAC. This allows me to stream music from my iPhone to a Modi Mutibit DAC. I connect this dongle to the iPhone USB-C connector. Then I connect a USB-A to USB-B in between the phone and the DAC. (The DAC requires a USB-B input). Yes, you can skip this dongle altogether and buy a USB-C to USB-B cable, but I already own an AudioQuest Carbon USB-A to USB-B cable. Note: When connecting for the first time, IOS will ask the question, “Are you connecting Headphones or another device?” Choose Headphones. Works great with no issues. Hope this helps.
