Great radio for the price. It uses the older NMEA0183 protocol so if you want it to communicate on your NMEA network you’ll need a bi-directional converter for NMEA2000. It may be cheaper to buy a NMEA2000 VHF radio depending on your setup.

Waited for quite a while to post this. Installed this in my 21 foot fishing boat and it’s been great. Love that it receives GPS data from my Garmin sonar/chart plotter so that in the event of a catastrophe, it will broadcast my exact location just by hitting the Emergency button. Great purchase!

This is a nice VHF. It is a little outdated and I ended up getting one that is NEMA 2000 compliant would have cost more the make this one work with my Garman set up
