Works great.use it on my test bench..not much range, but wasn’t meant for thatHooked it to a base station antenna..then It’s gets out pretty good

Anyone who is saying negative things about this radio has no idea about the 11 M BAND or cb. They have not done enough study time and they have no common sense I was talking across my town in the desert no problem connecting with the CB community they said they could hear me great. I talked all the way across town 3 Mi to my buddy’s house telescoping antenna to telescoping antenna handheld to handheld fantastic radio. It does not have the fancy features like the Randy does for automatic noise blanker or any of that stuff. This radio is literally almost just as good as the Randy almost.

Easy to put in batteries (I only use Li because alkaline corrode and ruined my previous CB HTs). Intuitive. and labeled controls. Don’t know how durable, as I’ve only had them for about a month.

I remember in the 70’s CB radios were the way to go. It actually saved mine and my family’s life on a cross-country trip to New York from California. Stuck in Omaha, NE in a blizzard, couldn’t get my vehicle started and the CB’ers contacted a tow truck for me to get my bus started. Well nowadays with cell phones CB’s are an amusing blast from the past but you can still sometimes get lucky and get a stratospheric skipped signal and hear/talk to someone thousands of miles away. This portable CB is quality and works like a charm and the price amazes me (got it for 40 bucks). Nowadays it’s a very high quality walkie talkie so is still relevant. Better to buy this than some .5 watt WT and you get 4 whole watts meaning much more range.

Widely considered the best handheld CB around.You won’t get the reception of a huge antenna, but you can use the BNC to connect it into your vehicle antenna.
