I never gave digital photo frames any thought until we were planning a celebration party and needed around 20 or 30 photos enlarged and put in picture frames for the party. I stumbled on the Skylight Digital frame while searching for regular old school picture frames on Amazon. Wow a digital photo frame was a no brainer decision to make. I ordered 3 Skylight frames for the party and look forward to reusing the frames for family memories and grand baby photos afterwards. My pros:The picture quality is very good. The phone app makes it very easy to organize and upload photos to the frame. The frame gets a private email address making it super easy for friends and family members to send photos from their devices directly to the frame as they wish without having first coordinate through me.My cons:I wish the power cord was a couple of feet longer. That’s my only con. If I come across another one I will update my review.

I purchased this for my 100 year old grandmother for her birthday. The set Up was fairly easy and once it was set up we began to email photos to it. The picture quality is great. Easy to email and add photos. All you need is WiFi. This way my entire family can email photos to her. The picture frame sits right next to her chair and she looks at the photos all day since it’s set up as a slide shows. Perfect gift.

I bought one of these for Christmas for my mother… let’s just say I ended up buying 2 more, a total of 3, because of how crystal clear, easy to use, and high quality these frames are. This is a great gift for family members that live a distance away.

Bought this digital picture frame for my parents after seeing it at another relative’s house. They love it! It was easy to set up, including downloading the app and choosing a user name/email for the device. Easy to share the device link with additional family and friends, as well. Touchscreen is a great feature, also. Very happy with this purchase, although I should have purchased the larger version. (I bought the 8×10 frame.) My folks are using the free version of the app (for photos, comments, etc). Paid version includes ability to caption photos and upload video. Thinking of purchasing one for my own home. Great for all ages!

The packaging is well thought out to protect the contents and the frame. You can open it and preload photos to send to relatives or have it shipped directly to them so when it arrives, they simply connect it to their wifi and type in a code you create using the app and then all the photos will arrive over the web. The app you use to choose photos is intuitive and easy to use, you can invite others to collaborate on sharing photos from multiple family members, etc. Makes a great gift and we highly recommend this product!

It’s very addictive. It stores so many photos and so many memories pop up! Easy to use and email a photo so you know you got it for life on the frame. We love it.

I’ll try to add what other reviews may have missed in terms of this being a great gift. It’s not just a “nice thought” or a convenience. It’s a wonderful daily experience. My wife and I got a Skylight 10″ frame as a gift for Christmas, and we now watch that next to our TV during commercials. Within 3-5 days of use were bought one for my dad and his wife who are in their 80s. Just two weeks later, another bought for my wife’s parents in their mid 80s. We now have family from around the country posting photos to them on a frequent basis, and it’s a nice surprise when they have new photos to remind them of family and life events and what they’ve helped to create and nurture. I have 50-75 photos ready to send, and I’m just sending a couple each day that no others have sent a photo (I can use the mobile app or web browser interface to see the content uploaded to these three frames). I’ve got a tripod setup to take photos of physical prints and newspaper articles from late 60’s to 70’s so that I can post them.Ease of use: My 85 year old dad is uploading photos from a computer, and he quickly chose to pay the small annual subscription to be able to organize photos from their world travels into albums. (no subscription is required for basic features). He has a lot of activity planned to upload/organize photos so that they can play an album at a time (requires the Skylight Plus subscription).Storage: I was initially skeptical of the claim of storing 8000 photos. I can see that uploaded photos are 80% compressed, so 8000 might be conservative.Setup: It’s easy to set up as a gift and preload photos that are the first to appear when the physical frame is first connected to the internet (Wi-fi). I did this, and I later transferred “ownership” to my 85 year old dad because he wanted to be the administrator of authorized photo senders to his digital frame.

Totally loved this frame. Bought it for my mom for her birthday. I was super psyched that I was able to upload pictures to it before completely unboxing it. The app that you download with it is super user friendly and is easy to add other people to. The picture quality is awesome, plus there’s some sort of no glare feature. I love being able to upload pics of my 1 yr old in seconds, so my mom and dad can see them as they wash the dishes (she’s got it right behind her sink. Adorable, I know). The only complaint, if you want to call it that, is the motion feature. It freaks my mom out every time she walks by and turns it on lol.

I love my sky light. I am enjoy looking for photos of my grandkids when they were younger so I can put them on the skylight. I love seeing them over and over. Now they range in age from 18 to 24. I have even put some photos of loved ones who have passed away ! I think it is awesome, for Mom”s, Grandmother’s and adult children.
