I’ve used it for over a year. Overall, it’s great. The only quibble I have is this: over time the joints on the legs loosen. Eventually they start popping apart. They can be snapped back together. I just wish they didn’t come apart at all.

Love this tripod. I like the ability to bend the legs to get diffrent shots. It is definitely sturdy as it survived 30 minutes of play time when a couple of bear cubs snatched it off the fence where I was videoing.

I use this for all of my review videos, cooking videos, blogs, Instagram etc… I use it mostly with my phone but could stick a really light camera on it for vlogging etc…I love that I can wrap it around stuff because the legs are bendable. It came nicely packaged with no issues.If you’re used to the higher end gorilla pods this one may feel cheap to you because it’s mostly plastic so keep that in mind.

I have used several GorillaPod products in the past and I love the flexibility and versatility of each of them. I purchased this one to help hold a small backup camera, iphone mount, or a microphone. For the most part, it works well for my situations. There have been a few times that I wish I had bought one with magnet feet to help keep it more stable in certain environments. Overall, it works for what I have intended it for and it is built well.

Works great with my Canon Rebel T6 and all my lenses, though with my Telephoto lens it does drift down a bit, but that’s to be expected, it would be a non issue if I had a lens mount that i am looking into. I know the T6 isn’t a heavy camera, but i don’t think it would be a problem putting a much heavier camera on it, though with Tele’s the lens mount would be a must, though that’s true with almost any small tripods and should use one regardless I would think. I am looking to upgrade to the Canon 80D, though again not as heavy as a large full frame camera, though it is much heavier than the T6. Saying that is to say I have faith that the Gorilla pod will serve me just as well with the 80D as it has with the T6. It’s very sturdy lightweight and quite versatile as you’d expect. I’ve not had any issues with it whatsoever in the 3 months I’ve had it. Wrapped it around fences, contorted it on rocks and trees, and it works perfectly. I’ve seen reviews of the legs coming apart and such, but mine has never done that nor given any indication of any catastrophic failure. It’s so lightweight i take it everywhere with me even with my large typical tripod just in case, because there are instances where you can get lower and or closer to you subject with the Pod than you can with a regular tripod, like behind a fence on a bridge, just set up the Pod on it and it can wrap around it and is very sturdy and I got a better angle that way. And if you use a cable release its that much better

Great size for traveling! Can be folded up to fit into a a medium sized fannypack or bag.I got this to use with my iPhone and a Fujifilm X100T. The 3k gorilla pod can hold both of these just fine, but I’m not comfortable putting my 5d Mark IV on there. I think the next size up is necessary if you need this for a full size DSLR.The ball head is a must have, otherwise you won’t have the range of motion to frame up your shot after attaching the pod to something like a pole or railing.It seems well built enough for what id expect, I wanted a lightweight portable tripod that was versatile and affordable for my iPhone and mirrorless camera and this really fits the bill. I considered the larger Gorillapod but preferred this one for its more compact size over one that can support my DSLR.There is a quick release plate for your camera which is a must. Spinning your tripod onto the bottom of your camera sucks, mounting plates are how full size tripods work and i appreciate this in such a small tripod. It could be more heavy duty (metal) but it seems strong enough for the cameras Im using it for however, its not as durable as a manfrotto or gitzo.I also love using this to hold my speedlite flashes in difficult places to put stands or to stay light and portable.All in all its great to have as apart of your kit.

It’s easy to use this in many positions although I haven’t used it to hand from something yet. The attached level is handy. It is a little difficult to return the legs to the original position
