The Amazon Basics Photographic Empty Sandbags for Light Stands proved to be a game-changer for our Christmas tree setup this year. We used them to secure our Christmas tree stand, and they worked like a charm. Even with a mischievous cat climbing the tree and knocking off ornaments, the tree stayed upright, all thanks to these sandbags. Filling them with sand provided the necessary stability, and we are very pleased with the results. These sandbags are a must-have for anyone looking to secure their Christmas tree, and we plan to order more for our other trees next Christmas. A reliable and effective solution that exceeded our expectations.

It says it’s made for up to 20lbs, but was only able to personally use 12 lbs in it. It just didn’t have enough room. I didn’t use sand in this instance because the dampness would be too difficult to remove from the sacks one buys here in Home Depot. So I decided on the next best thing, smooth stone pea gravel. Was able to get the humidity out of them including the sand or small particles they come with in them using a $4 plastic basket (from there also) that I punched holes in the bottom in order to pan the sand using a garden hose onto the stones. Spread them over a black (unfolded) garbage bag in the blazing sun for about 36 hours to make sure they were very dry. Then was able to weigh them on a small scale and place 6 lbs in each pocket. Couldn’t go more without it affecting the closing of the zippers. But it’s enough for what I need them for thankfully. Saved a bunch of money with the method.

Nice quality! Better than I thought.

I use these bags to fill with sand to help my outdoor wooden stands stay upright in windy weather conditions. I’ve not had a sign fall over since using them, and they compliment the aesthetic of the display nicely

I create content from home. These paired well with my stands that hold the backdrop for my home studio setup. Affordable and convenient.

There was a bit of struggle in getting the sand into these bags by yourself, but worked out ok. Trying to hold the bag and fill it at the same time was a challenge. But, any bag like this is probably going to be similar. The double zippers help keep the sand within the bag. The material seemed very sturdy for holding the sand.

Never worry about the end of your RV stinky slinky slipping off the waste pipe with these bags. I filled them with crushed rock for weight and drape them over the end of my hose elbow. You don’t have to stand with your foot on the elbow anymore even when you first open the black and grey tanks. Highly recommend. Kind regards.

I picked these up and put small weights in them to weigh down and secure stands and such on set. They work great
