I ordered this tripod, not realizing it came with two. Clearly, I don’t know how to read, but I’m glad I messed up because now I can order another light for it! I originally ordered these for the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RJSTJ6C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_EXQ78YCWNVA1QHH95DZK, but now that I have two tripods, I’m going to order a second light and use the other one. These tripods are really sturdy, and they come in nice little carry bags for easy transportation. They also fold up nicely without any issue. They adjust from about 3 feet to 7 feet tall, so they’re perfect for a variety of needs. If you do a lot of work with lighting or cameras, I definitely recommend these tripods. They’re a cheap option, and they’re very versatile. You can use them to attach lights, microphones, umbrellas, GoPros, and more. I’ve even seen people attach multiple things to one tripod using different attachments.

These are so great, especially for the price point. If you’re making films this is such a nifty tool to utilize lights and mics off camera. Just note, it’s not for super heavy duty lights.

The carrying case is nice, quality of the stand is better than expected made of durable lightweight aluminum. It has an adjustable height from 2.8 to 7 feet perfect for most studio or outdoor lighting.I would recommend a weighted bag to hold it down if planning on using outside because its so lightweight a gust of wind could easily topple it.Definitely like this stand better than other brands ive bought for the same price.

Although I ultimately returned the Amazon Basics Aluminum Light Photography Tripod Stand due to no longer needing it, I must commend its exceptional ease of use and high-quality construction. Setting up and breaking down these tripod stands was a breeze, making my photography sessions effortless and efficient.Despite not keeping the product, I was thoroughly impressed with its sturdy build and thoughtful design. The included case added an extra layer of convenience for transportation and storage.Overall, while my circumstances led to a return, I highly recommend these tripod stands to anyone in need of reliable, easy-to-use support for their photography equipment. Five stars for quality and convenience!

I had purchased Neewer lights for my home office for use with virtual business meetings. The lights came with stands that were very flimsy. They were constantly falling over if I happened to accidentally push against them with my foot, or even if my cat happened to pass by. After a few months of this consistently being a problem, I decided to look for new stands. These were a great solution for me for my home office. I haven’t had the lights fall over once since starting to use them – even if I bump them hard, they sway a bit, but they stay on their feet. I can’t speak to how these would do outdoors in high wind, but I can say that they have been perfect for my home office setup.

The package is smaller than I thought, and the item itself is lightweight. It is a good thing for me as I need to carry it around. The stability is just fine. I’ll count on it for only portable LED lights, like my 24W lights. My 300W standard LED light can only stablely put on it on the lowest height. For the money it’s pretty good. Wish Amazon Basics have more heavy duty version available in the future.

I use this stand in a carpeted room and it does exactly what I need it to do. I wouldn’t use it on an uneven surface or outside since it could fall over if the light is too high, but in a controlled environment with a flat even surface, this stand will suit your needs.

I was replacing a couple of older bigger tripods. When I pulled them out of the box I initially thought that there was NO WAY these skinny things would hold up the equipment I was using them with. But they do. I love the small size as well, I wouldn’t change anything. 5 stars

I’m a professional photographer and videographer and though these stands aren’t “professional grade” I have many uses for them when I need to position auxiliary equipment in corners or out of the way.I’ve mounted strobes on top (1/4-20 threaded post is standard), clipped audio mics on the post, clipped gopro cameras and basically any small piece of gear that you need to give some support to.There is a nice white line on the lower segment which indicates exactly where the legs should be positioned for maximum stability.QUIET – set up makes no noise, the legs slide into position and secure with no metal-to-metal noise. The segments slide up and down through plastic grommets/sleeves which also make no distracting noise. The locks don’t make any loud “click” when opened or closed.HOLDS POSITION – Once the vertical shafts are locked into place, there is no drifting or slipping.BLACK IS GREAT – Black is the best color for light stands like these as they don’t reflect light, draw attention, or show up in reflective surfaces.FIRM TOP THREADED POST – Some of the other economy stands I have, develop a little “play” in the top aluminum post which also has the 1/4 – 20 thread on top. This is firmly in place with no wiggle to it at all.I have to say that for this price, this is absolutely the BEST light stand I could find anywhere.TALL – Put a GoPro or small video camera on this and you can get the action without worrying that someone stands up right in front of it, unless they are seven feet tall!Do I recommend it? Absolutely, without hesitation! The included zippered bags are nice, but I just toss those.Need support for your small umbrella, softbox or auxiliary gear? Look no further, I’m very satisfied.Get a microphone above the crowd, or post that LED Light. More uses than I have time to describe. In the photos, I’m using SmallRig clamps… great accessories for these stands.
