I recently got my hands on the Samsung SmartTag2, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. Setting it up was a breeze, and it seamlessly connected to my Galaxy smartphone. Looking online I thought these were going to be 2x larger than the OG galaxy tags, but they are quite small and thin (I have small hands). The fit, finish and materials are all very nice. They have a nice matte texture and won’t easily scratch like an airtag, although the black does easily show greasy fingerprints. The button has a nice clicky click. The built in ring is great because you don’t need an accessory to attach it to something. Pairing them to my Fold4 was a breeze. They immediately updated their firmware once paired, which was quick and painless. I was able to easily rename them and share them with everyone in my smartthings home. You can control automations or ring your phone using the button. As far as their main purpose, finding is reliable and AR find is a neat touch. The built-in ringer is loud enough for a normal environment, but might get drowned out somewhere like a theme park or noisy restaurant. Not a big deal as your phone gives you directions to the tag in a compass format, including how far away you are from it. I bought four for our cars and backpacks, but I’ll probably pick up another 4 pack to use two for our dogs and then a few spares to toss into our luggage if we travel, or anything else we might want to track only occasionally, like a kid on a field trip.Overall I didn’t really find any faults and they seem like a nice upgrade from the originals. Although they’re slightly taller than an airtag, the built in metal ring makes up for their increased length with excellent functionality.

I use these in my Samsung Ecosystem. They are easy to register and label in the samsung Smart Things app. I put one on each of my king rings, in my luggage, and more. I like the battery life and being able to trigger routines.

These worked way better than I anticipated.My mom often travels for a month+ at a time and she’s not overly tech savvy so we’ll often go weeks without hearing from her. This round, we all agreed to put this Samsung Tag on her and it was a game changer. We were able to track her real time globally, which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to call her in areas we’d knew she’d have service. We could see the airport terminal she was in, her layover in Seoul, Korea, to her multi city trip in Vietnam and even through India.The real time data and how accurate these are was amazing. We’d keep one tag on us when we traveled to Southeast Asia recently and one tag in our luggage and based on were the gps dots were on the map, we could make an educated conclusion that the luggage was on the airplane/or near by. This device gives so much peace of mind.App: the app is a little clunky and needs to be streamlined. Sometimes it takes a few extra clicks and weird things to get to where you want if you have multiple devices or also following someone else’s tag. I do like that it gives you the ability to allow other Samsung devices owners to also track you and you can choose the level of access.The only con is that this will only work on Samsung devices, which is kinda a bummer. Otherwise, huge fan of this device!

Love these cute tags! My husband has a tendency to misplace his keys, so these are perfect for his keys. I even added it to my keys just in case and it came in handy when I couldn’t find mine.The noise it makes is loud enough to find your misplaced keys.
