Looking for where to buy the brand new Ryzen 7 5700X? Or maybe you’re just looking for the Ryzen 7 5700X release date? Well if so, you came to the right place. Not too much is known about the 5700X as the 5800X3D is the star of the show of the upcoming releases, and with the 5700X supposedly releasing alongside it, it’s not getting much of the spotlight. But there are a couple of things we do know.
The 5700X is based on the well-loved AM4 socket, meaning unless you bought your CPU and motherboard over five years ago, you’ll be able to utilize the 5700X with little more than a BIOS update. A BIOS update will most likely only be necessary on older 300 – 400 series motherboards.
Ryzen 7 5700X release date
The 5700X is expected to release on April 20 2022.
As we stated above we do know that the 5700X is expected to release alongside the 5800X3D. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D release date was leaked recently, according to Disclosuzen on Twitter (whose account is now suspended) and will release on April 20 2022. We’re expecting to see the 5700X release at the same time.
Ryzen 7 5700X price
The price of the Ryzen 7 5700X will be $229.
Again according to Disclosuzen, the price of the 5700X will be around $229 when it’s released, which would be the same launch price of the Ryzen 5 5600X.
These claims were then substantiated by @momomo_us on Twitter who also released information around the CPU’s release.
Ryzen 7 5800X – where to buy
We’ve done all the hard work for you, with a list of all the places you can find a 5700X

AMD 5700X specifications
Not much is currently known about the Ryzen 7 5700X and until we have a formal announcement from AMD, this is all we have.
Ryzen 7 5700X:
- Cores: 8
- Threads: 16
- Base clock speed: 3.4GHz
- Max boost speed: 4.6GHz
- L3 cache: 36MB
- TDP: 65W
- Socket: AM4
It’s going to be interesting to see if the 5700X stacks up at all against the higher end 3000 series Ryzen CPUs. With it being targeted at $299, we don’t see it competing with the 3900X for example. If you’re looking for a decent 16 thread CPU on a budget, then this CPU may be an incredible option.
