Play Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga online co-op

Last Updated:

Yeah, sure, Star Wars is great on your own. But it’s even better with a friend. Chewie and Han, Luke and Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2, Rey and Finn (and Poe). It’s an important theme throughout the Skywalker Saga, so it only seems fitting that you be able to play Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga with a friend. But can you play multiplayer Lego Skywalker Saga online?

It’s a funny question in an age of massively online multiplayer games. You almost expect a new game to be playable online in a multiplayer setting. But Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is one of few new games that takes us back to the offline, story-mode days of old, and the classic nostalgia of couch co-op. However, you can actually take this co-op online and play with friends in other rooms, and even other houses, thanks to third-party app Parsec.

How to play Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga online with Parsec

The appropriately named Parsec is an online tool which allows players to host games for their friends to join. Perfect for games that don’t already allow for online multiplayer gaming – like Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

In order to play online using Parsec, you’ll first need to install the third-party program to your PC. It is worth noting that you will only be able to host the game if you’re playing on PC. Once you’ve downloaded Parsec;

  • Launch Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on your Windows PC
  • Open Parsec, and select Arcade
  • Host Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
  • Invite your friends!

And, if you need a little visual help to getting set up on Parsec, check out our very own Jay’s useful TikTok guide.

If you’re in the same room, though, it’s pretty simple to team up as you explore the galaxy in the standard, in-game co-op mode. Just add an additional controller, and you’ll be prompted on-screen to join the game – no fuss.

While that’s it for playing Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker with friends, you might want some help getting through the game – alone or not. And, if you’re up for being a bit naughty, we’ve also got a list of cheat codes for unlocking multiple characters and ships.
