“The dawn of a new Overwatch“. OW 2 is coming but it is still unknown when the magic release date will be. Overwatch 2 was announced way back in 2019 at Blizzcon, with a legendary trailer you can watch again below. The new game will be sure to bring new heroes, new abilities, and new maps, in the same high-octane, competitive style.

Can you pre order Overwatch 2?
Despite no Overwatch 2 release date, surprisingly, you can pre order OW 2 through GAME, a UK retailer. The current pre-order options available are for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 platforms, which is strange, and will cost you £54.99 (that would be around $70). The pre order page is quite clearly a placeholder but with the beta around the corner, does that mean a release date maybe soon?
The Overwatch 2 beta sign-up is already underway and all you need to do is head to the games website. Players should expect their invites today (April 26), the date the PvP beta officially goes live.
If you can get access to the beta, you should, it is free after all. The next phase would possibly be a closed beta, which may tie in with pre orders and possible pre order bonuses. Games such as Battlefield 2042 and Call of Duty: Vanguard all offered pre order bonuses such as beta access, along with skins and other cosmetics. It would be interesting to see if anything similar happens with OW 2. Based on this, it is probably best to hold off on the GAME pre order just for now to wait and see what buying options Blizzard announces in the near future.
Overwatch 2 pre order price
Aside from the placeholder at GAME, it is unknown what the new title will cost. With the original Overwatch, there were three buying options: Standard Edition, Origins Edition, and the Collectors Edition, which ranged from somewhere around £35 – £100. Seeing how invested gamers are in this esport it wouldn’t be crazy to think something similar will happen again.
The current games Collectors Edition featured cosmetics like character skins, a figurine, and a soundtrack disc but it would be nice to see some form of loyalty/ pre order bonus for anyone with OW 2.
