What is Kirby and the Forgotten Land?
This hotly anticipated platform cute ’em-up could well turn out to be one of the biggest games of the year – even considering it is Nintendo Switch only. Why? The Kirby franchise is much loved and stretches all the way back to Kirby’s Dream Land in 1992 and that was on the Nintendo Game Boy.
Nintendo’s official release tells us: “In a sweeping adventure, players can make use of a range of Kirby’s abilities to combat foes and navigate vibrant 3D worlds. A place in which nature and a past civilization have fused awaits in a series of areas packed with platforming challenges. When setting out to free the Waddle Dees held captive at the goal point at the end of each stage, it can be useful to explore every nook and cranny to also rescue as many as possible along the way.”
Kirby and the Forgotten Land Release Date
Nintendo has now confirmed the game will be released on March 25th 2022.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be available both as a download from the Nintendo Store and as a physical Nintendo Switch Game Card.

Somewhat amazingly Kirby and the Forgotten land will be the 37th (!) Kirby game to be released. We are struggling to think of another game character that comes close to that number of appearances across pretty much all generations of consoles. If you can, feel free to pop it in the comments below.
