How to get the Grave Scythe in Elden Ring

[ad_1]

Last Updated:

Scythes are certainly some of the coolest weapons that you’ll find in Elden Ring. Partially, because they’re huge and impressive-looking, but mostly because they have a huge reach, deal high damage, and typically also deal extra types of damage, from bleeding to holy. In particular, the Grave Scythe is a great choice for its decent scaling with both Strength and Dex. However, unlike many weapons, you can’t find this one in the overworld or buy it from a merchant, so how do you get it? This guide will show you exactly how to get the grave scythe in Elden Ring.

Where is the Grave Scythe in Elden Ring?

Grave Scythe Elden Ring Attack

The Grave Scythe in Elden Ring is actually an enemy drop, so you’re going to have to go farming for it if you want it badly enough. The enemy who drops it is the scythe-wielding skeletons who spawn in various graveyards around the world, but if you want the best chances of farming the weapon you should head to the Lake-Facing Cliffs point of grace. The graveyard near this point of grace will spawn several of these skeletons for you to cut down. Just remember, your best bet is to have a holy weapon if you want to actually take them down permanently.

Okay, so now you know where to go, there are a few tips that can help you farm the item. First up, you want to increase your item discovery as much as possible. The best way to do that is to use silver-pickled fowl foot items, rather than increasing your arcane stat just for this weapon. You can find a few of these in the overworld, but you can also make them if you have the Missionary’s Cookbook [3] from the Smouldering Church in Caelid.

Chow down on one of these to increase your item discovery by about 50 for 5 minutes, even when you rest at the point of grace. Then it’s simply a case of running down into the graveyard, murdering all the skeletons you can, and running back to the rest point. Repeat this often enough and you should have your coveted Grave Scythe within a few minutes. Just don’t fast travel back to the rest point or you’ll lose your item discovery bonus.
