How to get the Fallout 4 Vault suit in Ghostwire: Tokyo – Crimson Moon side mission

[ad_1]

Last Updated:

Just because the population of Tokyo has vanished and spirits are prowling the streets, it doesn’t mean that you can’t have a little fun. Ghostwire: Tokyo knows when to play things seriously and when to let itself get a little silly. And if you’d like more of the game to veer in that direction, why not spend most of your playthrough dress in a Fallout Vault Suit? Being published by Bethesda has its advantages, as this little bit of cross-promotion can lighten up your time in Ghostwire: Tokyo. We’ll show you how to unlock the Fallout 4 Vault Suit with our Ghostwire: Tokyo guide.

Ghostwire Tokyo: Where to find the Vault suit

Unfortunately, the Fallout 4 Vault Suit is not available right out of the gate. Instead, you must progress through Chapter 2 until you unlock the Crimson Moon Side Quest. This side quest will grant you the Vault Suit upon completion.

Crimson Moon walkthrough

The Crimson Moon side quest can be started by finding a specific phone booth on the east side of the Construction Labyrinth. Unlike other phone booths that you transfer spirits through, this one will be ringing. When you answer, you will hear a recording by KK’s partner Ed. Ed believes that something strange is happening with the red moon in the sky above Tokyo, and he wants you to collect readings to confirm his suspicions. In order to do so, you must climb to three separate high points around the city.

Before anything else, Ed asks you to collect some equipment from a locker in the building just behind the phone booth. This turns out to be the Ghostwear, a peculiar wristwatch-esque device that will allow you to collect readings on the crimson moon. With the Ghostwear on hand, all that remains to head to the sites now marked on your map.

Construction in progress

Passing through a construction site and up a tower in mid-construction, you will eventually reach the top. But only after navigating your way through a maze of scaffolding and constriction hoists. Thankfully, red arrow signs are dotted around to point you in the right direction, if you end up getting too turned around on your way up.

Tengu Towers

The highest point that you are required to reach in this part of Ghostwire: Tokyo will require grappling to several tengu and climbing out-of-the-way ladders. When you reach the top, you will have to dispatch a swarm of Wanderers before being able to scan successfully.

Ascend near the spirit parade

The easiest of the three by far, this building is close to the scramble crossing. Not nearly as much parkour and grappling is needed to reach the top compared to the other two. The only danger you may have to contend with is a Hyakki Yako spawning at the scramble crossing nearby.

After scanning the three locations, return to Ed’s phonebooth. He will begin to say that everything seems normal with the moon, before cutting himself off and beginning to believe the opposite. After some short mumbling and monologuing, Ed will hang up and you will have completed Crimson Moon. You will then receive the Fallout 4 Vault Suit, along with a hefty amount of Meika for your trouble!
