The Witch Queen expansion for Destiny 2 brings with it a bunch of new additions to the franchise with one of the most important ones being weapon crafting. This weapon crafting allows you to customize your guns more than ever before, slotting in perks at will to really hone them for use in specific situations.
What are Mementos in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen?
Mementos are a new one-time consumable in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen and can be used in the weapon crafting process to customize your arsenal with specific activity flair. For example, if you apply the Gambit Memento, your weapon will now have features that are associated with the Gambit activity. To get the different advantages a Memento has though, you will need to level your weapon to a max of 30.
Overall, these Mementos allow for a whole new type of customization and may be well worth the time you put in so you can show off a certain activities’ aesthetic.
How to get Gambit Memento in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen
You want one of these fancy Mementos but don’t know how to get one? Well, Gambit might be your best bet. Yes, you can get the Gambit Memento right away, and here’s how.
All you have to do is play Gambit. That’s it. Simply play Gambit and hope that you’re blessed with luck for the Gambit Memento to drop at the end of the match.
What we will say though is that this is a Legendary item so don’t be disheartened if you don’t get it in the first five matches for example.
How to get other Mementos in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen
Unfortunately, at this current time, there are no other Mementos that you can pick up in The Witch Queen. However, it is safe to assume that there will be a Crucible, Trials of Osiris, and Vanguard Memento, all providing similar qualities to that of the Gambit variant.
When these do become available, we’ll be sure to update this guide so that you know how you can secure the other Mementos as soon as possible.
How to use Mementos in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen
So, you’ve got a Memento but how do you apply it to your weapon? Well, you’re going to have to head to the weapon crafting table in The Enclave. Select a weapon to reshape and hover over the most right-hand side option. There, you should be able to apply your Memento to the weapon.
Now, if you’re waiting on those other Mementos to become available for unlock, why not check out one of our various other Destiny 2 guides:
