Venti is a 5-star Anemo Bow character who specialises as an Anemo Support and Main DPS, and is only available on the Character Event Wish banner while he is featured character. Keep reading to find out what materials are needed to Ascend Venti, his best builds and an overview of how to use him effectively.

Venti Ascension Stat

All characters in Genshin Impact have a particular stat that levels up alongside their base stats. For Venti, this extra stat is Energy Recharge. This works well to get his Elemental Burst charged up quickly, which is key since this is at the core of his playstyle.

Venti Ascension Materials

Once you have obtained Venti and maxed him to Level 20, he can be further levelled up through Ascension. The materials you will need to Ascend Venti are as follows:

  • Slime Condensate x 3

Level 40

  • Prithiva Topaz Fragment x 3
  • Hurricane Seed x 2
  • Cecilia x 10
  • Slime Condensate x 15

Level 50

  • Hurricane Seed x 4
  • Cecilia x 20

Level 80

Prithiva Topaz Slivers, Fragments, Chunks and Gemstones can be obtained by defeating the Anemo Hypostasis, located in Mondstadt, and Maguu Kenki, located in Inazuma.

Hurricane Seed can be obtained by defeating the Anemo Hypostasis, located in Mondstadt.

Cecilia can be found across Mondstadt. They grow in abundance on Starsnatch Cliff

Slime Condensate, Secretions and Concentrate can be obtained by defeating Slimes, which can be found all over Teyvat.

Venti Talent Materials

In order to make Venti stronger, you’ll need to upgrade his talents. The materials you will need are as follows:

  • Slime Condensate
  • Slime Secretions
  • Slime Concentrate
  • Teachings of Ballad
  • Guide to Ballad
  • Philosophies of Ballad
  • Tail of Boreas

The Teachings, Guide and Philosophies of Ballad can be obtained by completing the Domain of Mastery: Realm of Slumber every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile, the Tail Of Boreas is a potential drop from the Weekly Boss Wolf of the North.

Venti Best Weapons

Depending on whether your Venti will fulfil a Support of Main DPS role, there are a few different weapon options for him.

Support:

  • Elegy For The End (5*)
  • The Stringless (4*)
  • Windblume Ode (4*)
  • Favonius Warbow (4*)
  • Sacrificial Bow (4*)

Main DPS:

  • Skyward Harp (5*)
  • Polar Star (5*)
  • The Stringless (4*)
  • The Viridescent Hunt (4*)
  • Alley Hunter (4*)
  • Mouun’s Moon (4*)

For Support Venti, Elegy For The End is his best in slot. Not only will it give him a hefty chunk of Energy Recharge for his Burst, but it also bestows him with 60 Elemental Mastery, which is perfect for his Swirl reactions. Furthermore, its passive will boost the Elemental Mastery and ATK% of your team for a period of time, which is super beneficial.

The Stringless is also his best in slot when at high Refinement. It gives a very nice amount of Elemental Mastery for his Swirl reactions, on top of increasing his Elemental Skill and Burst DMG by a very healthy amount. He can also make use of Windblume Ode if you have it, since it also gives him Elemental Mastery and will increase his ATK after using his Skill; however, this isn’t recommended over The Stringless. If you’re in need of Energy Recharge to help keep his Burst up, the Favonius Warbow and Sacrificial Bow can be very beneficial especially at high Refinement.

For a Main DPS build, his best weapons are Skyward Harp and Polar Star. Skyward Harp is a great choice thanks to both the CRIT Rate and DMG it bestows, as well as its extremely high Base ATK, and Polar Star will also give him a very nice amount of CRIT Rate; Polar Star’s passive will also increase his Skill and Burst DMG, as well as increase his ATK for a time when he hits an opponent.

Main DPS Venti can also make use of some 4-star weapons: The Stringless once again works very well on him, and The Viridescent Hunt is also a good choice if you’re lacking in CRIT Rate. Venti can also make use of Alley Hunter, as he’ll generally be off-field a lot of the time; he will generally only switch in to use his Skill and Burst. Mouun’s Moon is also a great choice, as it will increase his Elemental Burst DMG by a decent amount and give him plenty of ATK%.

Venti Best Artifacts

No matter how you’re building your Venti, you’ll always want to use 4-Piece Viridescent Venerer on him. The 4-Piece set, which shreds your enemies’ Elemental RES, is beneficial to both supportive and offensive builds.

For low-level players, 4-Piece Instructor works well until you’re able to get higher level Artifacts.

For your Artifact main stats, you will want to run:

  • Elemental Mastery / ATK% Sands
  • Elemental Mastery / Anemo DMG Bonus Goblet
  • Elemental Mastery / CRIT DMG / Rate Circlet

The Elemental Mastery pieces are preferred by Support Venti, whereas Main DPS Venti can make great use of the latter pieces. In terms of Artifact substats, you’ll want to focus on ATK%, Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge and both CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate for both Venti builds.

How to Use Venti

His Elemental Skill, Skyward Sonnet, summons a Wind Domain at the enemy’s location, dealing AoE Anemo DMG and launching enemies into the air. On hold, this summons an even larger Wind Domain which deals AoE Anemo and launches affected enemies into the air. After unleashing the Hold version of this ability, Venti rides the wind into the air. Enemies hit by Skyward Sonnet will fall to the ground slowly.

His Elemental Burst, Wind’s Grand Ode, fires off an arrow which creates a huge Stormeye that sucks in objects and enemies along its path, dealing continuous Anemo DMG.

As a Support, Venti can work on a variety of different team comps. One of the most well-known Venti comps is known as “Morgana,” consisting of Ganyu, Mona, Venti and Diona. In this comp, Venti will use his Burst to gather enemies together and spread the Hydro Element in order for Ganyu to trigger Frozen. Alternatively, he can work in a Ganyu Melt comp consisting of Ganyu, himself, Xiangling and Bennett. In this comp, he’ll work to gather enemies together, and 4-Piece Viridescent Venerer will shred your enemies’ Elemental RES. He can also work as a great crowd-control support for Xiao, as well as enable Anemo Resonance in a Xiao team comp. Essentially though, he can work very well in any team comp where you have a spare slot.

Main DPS Venti is a little more niche, but can still work well in certain team comps. One team you could try consists of Venti, Chongyun, Xiangling and Bennett. You’ll use Venti’s Skill and Burst in tandem with the team’s Skills and Bursts in order to proc Swirl reactions. You could also run Venti in a team consisting of Zhongli and Albedo; this team will have Geo Resonance which will increase the DMG of your shielded characters – Zhongli will provide said shield and Albedo will act as a Sub-DPS. Your final slot on this team would be flexible; however, Bennett is always a reliable choice and will help to increase Venti’s DMG.
