Fairfield announced it is once again providing an exciting roster of engaging activities to attendees of the upcoming High Point Market. Celebrating over 100 years of producing high-quality casegoods and upholstery, Fairfield has planned events that will highlight their new products and draw industry professionals to their High Point showroom. Fairfield invites retailers, designers, and editors to tour their showroom and take part in scheduled events during the 2022 High Point Furniture Market, April 2nd-6th.
Saturday, April 2nd at 11 AM: “The Truth about Licensed Collections: the commitment, timeline, and potential.”
Join Libby Langdon (Libby Langdon Interiors), interior designer, television personality, author, and product designer as she presents proven tips and tactics towards designing, developing, and promoting licensed collections alongside her manufacturer partners. Langdon will delve into having the right foundation that makes you an appealing partner and will break down her design process; from getting started to making samples, legal and royalty logistics, and more! Panel includes Santhi Yarlagadda with Kas Rugs, Dixon Mitchell with Fairfield, Ryan Ranzino with Crystorama, and Malanta Knowles with Paragon.
Sunday, April 3rd from 4-7 PM (Hamilton Wrenn Second Night): Chair Construction Demonstration & Designer Challenge Awards
5 PM: Witness and learn the process and detail that goes into assembling a chair from Director of Product Development for Fairfield, Richard McSwain. The Chair Construction Demonstration will take place inside the Fairfield High Point Market showroom.
6 PM: The winner of Fairfield’s Virtual Design Challenge will be announced during Hamilton Wrenn District’s Second Night Celebration. Fairfield will award first, second, and third place winners to designers who’ve participated in this year’s virtual challenge, a contest in which seven designers were tapped to produce renderings based on a personally-selected inspiring film. These seven designers used Fairfield’s upholstery and casegood product lines to create a space using real time dimensions of Fairfield’s High Point Showroom. The winner of the challenge will have the opportunity to bring their rendering to life inside the Fairfield Showroom during October High Point Market.
Monday, April 4th at 11 AM: Designer Panel, “Function, Family, & Furry Friends – Tips for Designing for Families”
The delights of designing for families and pets are many, but planning for a home that is equal parts beauty, safety, cleanability, and comfort requires some extra due diligence. Crypton Home Fabric and Fairfield Chair present a delightful and informative panel discussion featuring expert designers including Sara Barney, Vanessa Deleon, Lauren Nicole, Rachel Shingleton, and moderated by Erika Saurit of Saurit Creative. They are sharing terrific tips and clever design hacks for creating spectacular kids’ spaces and beautiful interiors for pet-loving households. Plus, visit the adorable pop-up Crypton Cart to home some fun goodies and toys for your own special furry friends, courtesy of Skout’s Honor, Crypton, and RUE magazine.
All Fairfield events will be held inside of the Fairfield Chair showroom located at 200 North Hamilton Street.
