During the F1 22 announcement, the developers showed off a teaser of the announcement. What is coming in F1 22?
However, there is more to share on the upcoming F1 22 game. Firstly, the F1 22 release date is set for July 1, allowing F1 fans to get the new version of the game. In addition, there is new content to take a look at, especially the new circuits that fans of the physical sport are getting. There is going to be the new Miami track, bringing the new US circuit into the game. Furthermore, there will be updates to the Australian, Spanish and Abu Dhabi tracks to reflect the recent changes to the circuits for this current racing season.
One of the new features Codemasters is looking at is immersion for F1 22. There is going to be better realism in terms of the track day experience. Expect a focus on the broadcasting (just like in real life), along with formation laps, better safety car periods on the track, and pit stop simulation.
To top it off, there are the new hybrid cars coming to the game as are the new Sprint Races, that offer a new take on the F1 experience. Sprint Races are a new way to play, offering players the chance to experience racing with overhauled tiles. You can take part in the FIA Formula One World Championship in new hybrid cars too.
For those wanting a more social experience, there is a new F1 Life. F1 Life allows players to show off their collection of cars, clothing, and accessories they have earned through the game, the Podium Pass, and the in-game store. This means there will be some form of a battle pass and microtransaction store when the game goes live, but there is no in-depth explanation on the systems as of yet.
Speaking to the press, Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters said: “Alongside the real-world changes, we have updated the physics to accommodate the new aero rules and re-worked the tyre model, making the handling more true to life. With new and updated circuits, Adaptive AI, F1® Life, and expanded gameplay options, there has never been a better time for players to take their seats and live the life of an F1® driver.”
Those interested in the game can pre-order F1 22 ahead of its release date through their gaming platform’s usual physical and digital stores.
