Decor–Rest Furniture, a domestic upholstered furniture manufacturer, has acquired two domestic manufacturers, including all brands, facilities, and operations. Decor-Rest’s manufacturing capacity will grow by an additional 35 percent.
The acquisitions of Superstyle Furniture and Trendline Furniture coincides with Decor-Rest’s celebration of its 50th anniversary. The company’s well-established footprint will expand to some 400,000 square feet with a workforce of approximately 450 employees.
“We continually strive to eliminate the challenges faced by our valued customers and to uphold our trademark commitment to excellence,” says JR Marzilli, president-CEO and son of Decor-Rest founders, Angelo, and Christina Marzilli, both of whom are thrilled to see the second generation of their family now leading the company into the future. “The acquisitions of these two companies with similar histories and corporate cultures provide distinct advantages by being close to our home base. This ensures efficient turnaround and will help us address increased demand. Additionally, the investment in human capital benefits all the Decor-Rest employees and team members who have all been working very hard during the pandemic, as well as the employees of the acquired companies with an easy transition. We look forward to welcoming all of them to the Decor-Rest family.”
“Our family of furniture companies have been successful for more than 50 years because of the dedication, values and entrepreneurial spirit of our founders, my late father, Giovanni Colalillo and his brother Dominic Colalillo, and the commitment and support from our employees, dealers and suppliers which we are truly thankful for,” says Danny Colalillo, president, Superstyle Furniture and Trendline Furniture. “Now, the agreement that has been reached with the Decor-Rest Group of Companies to acquire Superstyle Furniture and Trendline Furniture guarantees the strong legacy of our family-founded Canadian companies and help meet the increasing demand of consumers for decades to come.”
“Given the global supply challenges, domestic products are in higher demand than ever before. The Decor-Rest Group of Companies will now be better able to supply products out of the combined facilities with additional employees who are already well-versed in the production of quality upholstered furniture products,” says JR Marzilli. “This will enable us to meet our dealers’ ever-increasing demand with shorter lead times to provide quality, fashionable furniture and continue the legacy of what Decor-Rest products have come to mean to our customers.”
“Through seamlessly aligning efficiencies within the organization, we are looking forward to working closely with our new team members and expanding our strong, supportive and well-structured team while transitioning as seamlessly as possible into a single, unified, customer-driven company serving the needs of our industry. We are confident that these mergers along with our promise to uphold our trademark values of love and honesty will ensure an even brighter future for Decor-Rest as our wonderful team and customers continue to grow and prosper.” Marzilli emphasizes.
