City of Hope, one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States and a leading research center for diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses, announced that its International Home Furnishings Industry’s signature event, The Spirit of Life Award Dinner is set for April 3 at the Sheraton in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Spirit of Life Award Dinner will once again occur in spring at High Point Market, the largest home furnishings industry trade show in the world. The event is set to honor Nathan Cressman, Magnussen Home president, and Andrew Koenig, CITY Furniture CEO. Roger Friesen, Palliser’s chief revenue officer, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.
“I am extremely honored and very proud to be recognized by City of Hope,” said Koenig. “CITY Furniture’s commitment to philanthropic organizations is part of our company’s DNA. The Spirit of Life Award is City of Hope’s most prestigious honor, presented to an esteemed community of furniture industry leaders around the world who have made a significant commitment to leading-edge research and lifesaving cancer care. Honorees are selected for their notable contributions to the community in which they live and the profession in which they work.

City of Hope will also hold their annual summer event, the West Coast Golf & Tennis Tournament, on Monday, June 13, at Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club in Orange County, California. The tournament will be a fun-filled day with games and prizes, a crepe station on the course, guacamole hole, silent and live auction, and much more!
