Acer’s latest Predator monitor has finally been unveiled today, a new look of the already popular Acer Predator XB273K. This new variation will be labeled the Acer Predator XB273K LV and will feature a few carefully considered tweaks that take immersion and competitiveness to the next level.
While the new XB273K LV will feature a similar 27-inch UHD 4K IPS panel as its predecessor, improvements have been made in speed, response, and color accuracy. The new variation will feature a 160Hz refresh rate and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. More impressively, however, is the new 0.5ms response time, giving this panel a much more competitive feel.

Acer Predator XB273K LV release date
At the time of writing this, there isn’t a concrete date for the Acer Predator XB273K LV. That being said, Acer has announced that it will arrive globally sometime in Q3 2022.
That means it’ll launch just before this year’s Black Friday, meaning we could be able to snag a great deal on this new monitor come this November 2022.
Acer Predator XB273K LV specifications
The XB273K LV is set to become one of the market’s most powerful monitors, equipped with a 27-inch 4K IPS panel that delivers excellent picture quality and color accuracy. The new Predator monitor will also be far more competitive than its predecessor, offering up a 1ms (0.5ms minimum) GTG response time and a newly improved 160Hz refresh rate.
Like many modern panels, the XB273K LV will also feature two HDMI 2.1 ports and VRR support – allowing console gamers to reap the rewards of 4K gameplay at 120Hz.
Other specs include an anti-glare coating, 600 nits peak brightness, 178/178 degrees viewing angles, 95% DCI-P3 coverage, and 8bit +FRC color depth.
Acer Predator XB273K LV design
As far as the design goes, Acer seems to have retained the classic Predator design language that we’ve become accustomed to over the years. The XB273K LV will feature a relatively gamey aesthetic that is characterized by thin bezels and a wide ‘V’-shaped metallic stand that has been finished in a gun-metal grey powder coating.
The classic Predator logo can be found at the bottom of the stand, surrounded by a thin red band for emphasis. Again, the Predator branding can be seen on the bottom bezel in a chrome finish, giving the monitor a more premium feel.
Moving to the rear and, like it’s predecessor, the XB273K LV opts for a relatively featureless design. A slender stand has been capped off with a Predator logo, with a small cable management routing hole found in the centre. The rear of the panel itself has a two-tone look, with the upper half of the monitor equipped with a brushed aluminum style. The Acer logo can be found in the top left-hand corner, with a red toggle used for the OSD navigation.
Overall, the XB273K LV doesn’t really waver from the original XB273K.
Acer Predator XB273K LV price
The Acer Predator XB273K LV will retail in the EU for 949 and $999 in the US. When you consider the specifications this monitor brings to the table, you’d have to say that the XB273K LV actually showcases pretty good value for money. It also showcases a competitive price point when compared to some of the market’s best 4K 144Hz HDMI 2.1 monitors.
