..my previous outlook on this controller is at the very bottom. this is part 2,notice the difference in paint quality, lets get on with this…well well… it has been a sojourn. it has been an oddessy mixed with knotted veins on the forhead and rewards nary so valuable, with this controller. at last for the past two days since the accessories arrived ive been working with this controller;charge/play cable,blue tooth dongles, and wireless keypad all together.for what its worth.. despite the small wear-and-tear i can see on the wireless ps3 device, its in good working condition-ill just state to the court before going on that it would not have survived if i had owned this at age 10/11/12/13/14/15/16/17/18/19/20/21/or 22- and everything works well.. that said.. the illusion that it or parts of it dont work, is mind boggling. for the last couple weeks as ive tested this..feww[…] i came..THIS 99%/99% close, to asking for a refund for the controller, and then subsequently asking for a refund for the wireless keypad, dongles and wire, as i was sure this had become a wasted time and money fiasco because that was the way it was…but.. if you have the will, and the patience, not to reach for the steel bat nexr to you in your room you feel so very much like bringing right down on this controller with all your might-keep this in mind;..there is, if at all, very little being done for this kind of hardware. thats the price of an entity like sony who sold every fiber of themselves to the fiery down below for as much wealth as possible.and WHAT IS being done, is being worked on by third party people(and what a party, let me tell you) who without the massive rebobinar funds like sony unfortunatly has, work on the existing software slooooowly. motion joy.. xpadder… if you have these.. they are not bugged. they are not glitched(most of the time).. they are full of quirks. yet they are like the cells powering your body. you cant run this controller without them. it is an obstacle with these programs combined with this hardware-its impossible without them. patience. if you should ever come across this difficult terrain as i have and conquered, patitience will prevent you oh buyer from flinging every part of this things hardware back at its sellers from far across every part of the world.the wireless ps3 controller sold here-at least the one i got- is by no means a fraud. a fake. a sham. nah(although it does seem like they get these from the used asian goodwill store, dont fret though)as someone who uses this controller soley for the computer, the dongles cable and wireless keypad ive purchased all work. on a pc laptop. i will be posting similar reviews in all the seperate components i bought particularly, which you can see under my name, as they all work for this wireless ps3 controller.when using this with a pc, you need motion joy and xpadder which will work.(avoid the updates. yove been warned about that now)old republic here i come.five star rating. making the bottom review old and void.end communcation.————————————————————————————————————[..going to write another review but the following account of woe is as follows. please read this very thoroughly and carefully to understand the 1 star rating.on the date of writing this review i joyously ripped open my weak and silly metal mail box to find what ive been waiting for, for days-the ps3 wireless controller. awsome, no?i take it back to my house, thinking of playing alone in the dark and soon old republic with this, and oh the memories that will come.i open the package, pull out the controller- and air follows after. um.. theres.. nothing to connect it to the computer. n.o.t.h.i.n.g. air. zip. nata. squat. ralvmungio.so..why bother sending the ps3 controller..if you never had anything to connect it to…? a usb piece thing?… a cable perhaps..? it makes the very thought of the saying ”until tommorow”,all the more tickly, in my fist. theres..nothing but the controller in the bag. i could raise an ant farm in there and theyd never find anything but the air that comes after they open the bottom.heres how it goes. until i find that cable-usb whatever you use to connect a ps3 wireless controller to a pc or playstation 3-whatever- my rating for this product is 1%, and i suggest to not buy it. however should i find whatever you need(a..cable? its..wireless. wireless. wheres the usb part. i bought this..because its supposed to be WIRELESS!!!!!!!) to make this work.. ill raise that to a 5 star restaurant rating.until then.. consider this my current evalutation until the last part of this god forsaken story comes to a close the way it was meant to be…but seriously. dont off-handedly include anything about a usb cable unless its included. jesus crist..(when i get the last part whatever it may be, the second review makes this one ineffective at that point, so read this very carefully]—————————————————————————————————————-

Product: Playstation 3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller, by Sony.Rating: 4 1/2 starsLIKES:* QUALITY: In my experience, when it comes to controllers for the PS3, you pretty much get what you pay for. Over the years, I’ve owned a PS1, a PS2, and a PS3, and at various times I’ve tried 3rd party controllers in an attempt to add multiplayer capability at a more reasonable price … and unfortunately, I’ve rarely been happy. As long as you can afford it, this seems to be the best controller you can get for the PS3 … it has the best balance of heft, solid construction, good tactile resistance in the buttons and thumbsticks, excellent durability, good vibration feel, good communication range, reasonably fast charge time (2.5 hrs or less), and a long-lived battery.NITS:* Price: Authentic Sony controllers are expensive … but as mentioned above, you generally get what you pay for.* Charging Cord not included: You’d think that in purchasing a spare/replacement controller that it would come with a charging cord, right ? Nope. Sony deliberately omits it, and instead instructs customers to “use the one that comes with your PS3”. I recently purchased a charging station to eliminate that bottleneck … which was probably Sony’s goal in witholding charging cords from their spare controllers.* Minor design issues:(a) when putting the controller down during active play, there’s an occasional tendency for one of the L2/R2 buttons to activate if you’re not gentle. A pair of small support feet on the front of the controller, placed just behind and below those 2 buttons, would solve that.(b) I wish the charging cord connector port was indented slightly, to be self-guiding, to make connections faster and more eyes-free.(c) L3 & R3 are too easily unintentionally activated while using the sticks for movement in many games … case in point is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, where you FREQUENTLY end up squatting in mid-combat, while maneuvering during a melee, which is very frustrating. They need to increase the activation pressure for L3/R3 slightly in order to solve that.Bottom line: I’ve tried several other brands, and even though the Sony controller is the most expensive among them, it’s also the best. Highly Recommended.

I’m always skeptical when buying replacement parts for a console, and was dreading buying a second PS3 controller, due to the highly sensitive SIXAXIS function and the joysticks. So, after a looooong deliberation and not willing to fork over $90 at a store, I purchased this one as it seemed reputable and fairly priced.When it arrived, I put it through the paces by trialing it with Lair, which is predominantly SIXAXIS controlled, and was extremely impressed with the responsiveness.It also passed the Heavy Rain challenge – which is joystick-sensitive reliant – so I really can’t fault the controller as a whole.My original controller (OC) came from China, and this controller (TC) was manufactured in Canada, and while they both play identically, there are some cosmetic differences between the 2. The main differences being:*High gloss finish on OC, except on joysticks and R1/R2/L1/L2 buttons — Matte finish on TC, including all buttons.*OC is slightly heavier, and seems to have additional weighting in the hand grips — TC is center-weighted and gives a lighter feel.*R2/L2 & R3/L3 on TC are less brush-sensitive and have a more definitive “click” (this can be beneficial or detrimental depending on what game you’re playing).*OC and TC both turn on at around 11 seconds at system start-up, but OC takes about 3 seconds when activating as second controller, whereby TC only takes 1 second.I haven’t opened both controllers to compare the guts of them but the apparent differences are so negligible, I wouldn’t even bother.I do swap controllers depending on the style of game I’m playing, and will use TC for games that require more sensitive or specific button control, like Mortal Kombat, Lair or Heavy Rain, but also know I can rely on it for any game when my OC runs flat!Top-notch product.

Hey all this is Sam AKA Para in the gaming review community. This is one of many gaming reviews I will be starting for Amazon, so I hope you enjoy. Going to be talking about the PS3 controller which I have to say right off the bat has a great feel to it. It is light but durable at the same time. After playing for long hours I notice no pain in my hands, just the way the designed this controller it just fits right in your hands and is not stressing out you muscles or having you to curve your hands around it just to hold it. The vibration feedback is very well and is not super strong that it feels like a back massager or making your hands go numb, but it is not also so weak that you cannot even feel it. It gives just the right amount. The motion control has been done very well and I was surprised at first but they nailed it. You don’t even need a wii mote for the simple technology Sony has put in the controller lol. The triggers are in just the right position but the triggers themselves could use a bit of a lift, they just seem a bit too small. I love that everything is pressure sensitive from the triggers to the actually buttons with is great for racing games. The joy sticks are perfectly assessable and once again do not strain your hands trying to use them. Overall the controller is very nice and easy to use. Battery life is the best I have seen in a wireless controller to date. Good work Sony not changing to original controller, only improving them slightly (Don’t change what isn’t broken and Sony has done that with the controller). Hope this review helps and look forward for my other game reviews.

As always, I order a new PS3 controller every 6 to 7 months. Not because they break down but after months of use, any left over grease on my fingers (or friends) ends up making the controller a bit waxy to feel, even after cleaning.So I bought a new PS3 controller, without noticing the seller name I figured all of them were of the same type. This is not to be held true however.Today I received a PS3 Dualshock 3 controller from A THIRD PARTY SOURCE. That seller was Exporter and the product is clearly a rip off of Sony PS3’s dualshock controllers.The box the controller resides in clearely looks like one but if you notice the controller and text on the box it is not an official controller.What the controller looks like:No SONY logo on controllerNo Playstation logo on middle PS Button (instead it has P3)The Square, Triangle, Circle, and X buttons are all coming out too farThe entire thing looks like cheap plasticDo NOT buy from Exporter if you’re looking for official products.##############Alright, aside from my rant the Dualshock 3 controllers always have and always will be the best way to game on your PS3 system. Not only are they still relatively light, even with that rumble pack in there, but they allow you to have a whole new sense while your gaming. That feeling of live feedback while you game will always keep you on the edge of your seat. And for those of you that dont enjoy that little buzz, you can actually turn off that via the settings on your PS3.
