Just like Kasa – everything is easy to set up and works without issues. I like that I can control my Kasa stuff from the Tapo app now, save a few things. And using the hub I can add sensors and create smart actions that are very useful using temperature, motion, open/close, etc. The app is also reliable and easy to use.
Protective Dad –
You can plug this into, for example, the kitchen and link a motion sensor to it. Works better than the Ring mailbox sensor, since you can hear when someone opens the mailbox!

we have a couple of these and they work great. Alexa compatible so you can help automate routines with it. WIth one senor I can turn on a smart light / smart plug / have alexa give a message / and then turn off the lights and plugs

I purchased this HUB because I also purchased the temp/humidity sensor (same brand Tapo T310) that requires this. Not a fan of devices that require a HUB, but I needed an affordable solution for some peace of mind. These 2 items and a child proof fridge lock (which I already reviewed here) are a great combination (for my use case) and has eliminated finding the freezer door left opened in the garage. After navigating the menu in the app, I managed to setup thresholds and alarming conditions – audible and text – to alert me if the temp is dropping. I’m not concerned about the door not fully closing, the mentioned child proof lock solved that for me. Making sure the freezer is working as designed was the priority post meltdown. Now, I rest easy and have eliminated this concern for my wife and I. The hub does support an extensive suite of products from the same brand, but I have no interest in exploring those options as my need was very specific – affordable and effective.
