These external sirens are very loud. I purchased this one, but as an add on to my system. But then found out that there was one in in the system I ordered. So I ended up returning this one unopened. However, I will say these are easy to install. They are very loud and worth the adding to your system to potentially scare anyone away that may attempt to gain entry into your home. I like the Simplisafe System overall. I however dod not recommend their cameras. Siren is a go! Thank you Amazon for allowing me to return it since I didn’t need it after all.

Not as loud as I had hoped so ordered 2nd one for double the volume.
Amazon Bill –
Easy to install, nice and loud – enough to scare away prospective prowlers/thieves, fair price. Recommended!

I needed an easily hidden, but powerful indoor siren for our Simplisafe alarm. I could not be more pleased with this siren. I can put it on top of a cabinet, that makes it seem like it’s in another room. It is disorientingly loud, and uses AA batteries. I was worried about the battery life, but a couple of months in battery levels are still reporting good, and I am no longer worried it will be an issue. If you need an extra siren (or three or four) this is a great value.

This is a great addition to the system. It has 3 volume settings and can be placed directly in a bedroom on low or medium or can be used as a disorienting device elsewhere on high.

Easy to install, just like all the other SimpliSafe products, and this thing is LOUD.Like…wake your neighbors down the way loud. Like…gain immediate attention from the neighborhood and make all the dogs howl loud.If you have a SimpliSafe system and you have more than one floor in your house, you should get this.

So we recently created a customized Simplisafe system for home. By purchasing components from multiple sources, we were able to save $175.00 over what it would have cost purchasing from one of several different sellers. Strange but true. All original Simplisafe products and it works perfectly. A bit of a nuisance but well worth the work for substantial savings.

I ordered the second alarm I should say siren and when they both go off it’s loud I don’t have the full monitoring cuz I didn’t want it but it’s so loud that if somebody breaks in they’re not going to stick around I would highly suggest it.

I have ordered a whole system from Simpli Safe. Highly recommended products from a highly recommended company.

When we first installed the system we put one siren in the main upstairs hall. It was of course loud, but the carpet and hall location dampened sound in rest of home.I bought two more. And I determined the best result of terrible alarm sound in a large area was to place them on a high cabinet facing up to ceiling. One on a six foot high cabinet in living room by front door, one on seven foot bookcase in office by back office door.Placed this way the siren sound reflects off ceiling, filling the large area with ear-splitting sound. This works far more effectively than the first alarm siren I put on ceiling in hall area.Give it a try. Check location. Consider pointing siren in a high location facing towards ceiling, which will reflect sound. In our larger home the three sirens are ear-splitting through out the home.I like the system! Batteries in sirens last about six months. Same for motion detectors. Door alarm batteries last longer— haven’t needed to replace in a year. The system reports when siren batteries are low. It doesn’t report when other sensors need batteries.
