Have been using this for a month now and it is very impressive. Strong fit to the air vents and a strong fit on the phone. It feels very robust, and no sign of any of the kind of damage and wear and tear others have posted. I think Belkin have improved on previous versions where the rubber clips that fit to the air vents are now a single piece of rubber rather than individual rubber sleeves over the metal grips so it would take a lot for them to degrade or come off. The one slight deterioration is that the expandable grip mechanism that holds the phone no longer snaps all the way shut, however it still snaps shut more than enough to hold my phone (5.5 inch One Plus 3T).The padding for the phone is good, it’s grip s strong in both landscape and portrait, the location and fit on the vents is secure and very convenient, easy to take on and off the vents (although I leave it in place so rarely do this) and easy to snap phone on and take it out. Plus the silver / black colour combo looks very smart. Does what it says it does and based on m experience I would highly recommend this holder. The only caveat is to make sure your vents are in a good spot in your car and then you’re good to go!

This vent mount for a smartphone works really well. I have tried others and found that they slide off the vent. This one stays in place really well and it grips the phone securely. The mount pushes onto any vane of a heating/cooling vent. Be sure to push it on all the way. It has a very strong grip and stays in place really well. The phone holder spreads easily and when released it holds the phone very firmly, in either portrait or landscape configuration. I find it easy to insert the phone; it is easier to do with two hands. E.g. While pulling the right side of the holder outward with your middle finger, use the left side of the phone to push the left side of the holder outward. When you have pushed the two sides of the holder apart sufficiently, simply slide the right side of the phone into the holder and release.I usually use a power cord and attach it before placing the phone in the holder but it can also be connected after the phone is in place. The phone holder rotates in all directions so you can adjust the phone angle. The extent to which you can adjust the phone angle will depend upon the dashboard design. If the dashboard surrounding the vent extends farther out than the vent then it will limit swivel movement.

Simple, sturdy and smallish. These are by far the simplest phone holder for cars that I have seen or purchased. It hooks on a vent and it stays put. It is much simpler than others which often break. I love this design. Sure, you still have to be aware that when the vent is blasting hot or cold air, it can impact your phone but most times, the vents aren’t blasting. This holds the phone nicely so I can see Waze or Google Maps.

I bought one for myself and my teenage daughter. The clip slides right onto the vent and stays in place. In my daughters Ford Escape, I can slide the phone up to the highest point and still get air flow from the lower part of the vent. The vents in my Kia Soul are shorter and wider, so I lose air flow from that vent. Not an issue for me, but maybe for some. I ordered two more today for my other two daughters. What I like most is that it isn’t distracting to look at when the phone is not in it. Some of the ones I researched before buying were so big and bulky that I thought “yuk”. This one is so small you barely notice it. Also, the clips don’t prohibit swiping left or right. We have iphones and use face unlock. What my daughter likes most is that it is positioned so that her face automatically unlocks it and she doesn’t need to enter a code. My other daughter likes that she can record the street in front of her as she drives. This mount is very similar to the one sold at Apple Store for $30. The model number is identical except for the last two letters. The style is the same, so for the price this was awesome. The only downside is that it when I take the phone out, the entire mount slides out and I need to put it back in. It slides right back onto my vent easily so it’s not a big deal for me, but if you are in and out of your car all day long, it might get irritating. If there are problems with the items over time I will update my review. There are a lot of mounts that are less than this and a lot that are more, this one seems great for us… good quality and mid-range price of $18.

I have had many cell phone holders in many cars over the years, and this is the most practical one I have found. It holds my cord in place so it doesn’t have to drape, it stays firmly in my vent, and it’s easy to remove. I use it in my Subaru Forester with a 2 ft charging cord, and I’m about to buy another holder for my Miata. I had a magnetic holder which worked beautifully, but that involved buying a insert to put into my phone case that the magnet would hold on to. When I bought a new phone case, the insert no longer fit and it did not work. This is so much easier.

Works great. This is better than several of the other vent clips I bought. Sturdy and stays attached. Easy to clip on the vent and rotates if you need to view your phone sideways.

Was looking for a simple, minimalistic and sturdy vent phone mount. This Belkin meets all those requirements. It attaches firmly to the vent blade and holds the phone in place without movement. An added bonus…can use as a table stand for phone. Very pleased with this purchase.

This model is the best for hands free cell phone use while driving. I bought one of these a couple of years ago and it’s still working great! My husband tried other models for his truck and they were all more bulky and they eventually broke after a month or so of use. We decided to look up this model specifically and buy one for his truck. We should have done it sooner! We are very happy with our purchase and want to tell all our family and friends to only buy this model! All others are no bueno!!
