I have been a fan of the original ATH-MX50’s for a long time and the ATH-MX50x BT2, is a great upgrade. I am not sure I really needed to upgrade, my originals still work great after 6 years, but I thought the Bluetooth feature would be nice to have. Right out of the box, this headset is great! Fit feels just like the originals, buttons are responsive and seem durable. Being able to plug in is a great option but with the battery life, I don’t think I will ever need to use it. I will appreciate this function when I travel as I will be able to plug into the airplane’s entertainment system as well as walk around the airport without the cord catching on all of my travel gear. Even though these are not noise-cancelling headphones they do a great job of blocking out unwanted noise. Just like the originals the construction is sturdy, ear cups fit great, nice, and soft on my head. I have no complaints about this product, it is great. Although I highly doubt, I will ever need to, I would purchase this again in a heartbeat. Great product, highly recommended! I may never need to purchase them again, but I will tell everyone else that they should.

These are great headphones in all respects. The build quality is pretty good, sound quality is excellently flat (though I prefer a more bass-heavy sound signature), and they’re quite comfortable (though being a sweaty person, my ears sweat after an hour or two wearing these). They don’t have lag either when you’re watching programs nor playing games. I just found out you can also plug these in using a 3.5mm jack to an audio source and sound goes through even when the headphones are wirelessly off.My only complaint is when you have the headphones connected to two sources via Bluetooth, you don’t hear sounds from the two sources at the same time. When I’m listening to music on my PC and a notification sound plays on my phone, the connection to my PC “pauses” for a second or two to acknowledge the notification on my phone, then the PC output resumes. I have to disconnect it from one device so it can play seamlessly on the other. They’re great headphones despite a few minor flaws. Definitely worth a try, esp when they’re on sale.

Excellent device, and should be for its price, but this really worth it. If you are looking for some headphones for gaming and don’t care about sound quality too much, go for a cheaper option. These headphones can use the “Low latency mode” activating it from the Connect App, it allows you to use the headphones for gaming without too much delay, it can be perceived though but it minimal, and at the same time you listen every detail in the game with studio sound quality, however, if you want almost 0 delay, just use the included 3.5mm audio cable. Long battery life, excellent materials, you can feel the quality, it is NOT cheap plastic compared to some Logitech headphones. USB-C charging port, LED indicator for charge and connection status. Fast pairing. Regarding the codecs, there is NO AptX, nor AptX-HD. You can use LDAC, AAC or SBC. AAC will be selected for low latency mode. Tested in Linux successfully with LDAC and AAC, the multipoint connection also works great, but sometimes it is not recognized by the Android App when the codec is changed or when the multipoint connection is established, just close it and open the App again. Great for calls, the included audio return for your voice lets you avoid to talk too loud. The passive noise cancellation is pretty good also. It took some time to get used to this headphones, they were causing some pain in the ear surroundings and over the head, but once you find the sweet spot, you won’t feel anything. I purchased this headphones for music and gaming, and I don’t see my self buying another device, this just fits all my needs successfully.

HUGE battery life, exquisite sound, (once tweaked with the app) and durable. Use the AT connect App. The Bluetooth low latency mode is great and my Roland keyboard sounds better with these plugged in with the included cable by far than without them. I have only ever used these down to 20% battery after several days of heavy use and can’t say if they will work for 50 hours of continual use, but that seems about right. Cans do warm the ears a bit, but not so badly that I can’t stand to wear them outside in 95 degree weather. They’re just a bit warm. Noise cancelling they do not have, but they do block out average sound well. If you were hoping to ignore explosions in your home then I’m sorry to say that these won’t do it, but I did miss a high pitched alarm going off right next to my head once with these. These are my audiophile headphones and I only wear them when I really want to enjoy sound and I don’t have to be aware of my surroundings. The 4D sound experiences on Youtube or Spotify sound GREAT in these. They paired easily to my smart TV, and my phone. I love these headphones and will be taking very good care of them.

I got my first pair of wired mx40s back in 2016 and they lasted me until nearly the end of 2023. Never had a reason to switch for something different as a solid go to, since they were perfect for what I wanted. I tried a ton of different things and styles (at very different prices) but they just sounded amazing, were relatively cheep, and were just all around one of best headphones I tried over the years.. Until I sat on them while traveling for the 100th time and finally snapped right where the band connected to the right headphone.. now forsaken to go look for something to fill the void I decided it’s time for a upgrade and OMG the 50s are fantastic. They’re somehow lighter, more comfortable, and the Bluetooth was just another plus. Not to mention finding out about how when you use something like to speech to text it will slightly playback your voice so you can actually hear yourself speaking (idk if I’m alone with that feeling of talking when you can’t really hear yourself just being wrong in some way).Honestly, this is my first time ever reviewing a product, but this was something I actually recommend to everyone I knew and wanted to leave a comment for once. If you are looking for a some great headphones I would definitely suggest getting the 50s (it’s worth it). If you are on a budget the 40s are still a solid pair and (from my perception) had a sound signature pretty similar.

I got these since I’ve always heard that Audio Technica is a reputable company with headphones and record players. People definitely aren’t wrong. I absolutely love the clear dynamic sound and the bass is still phenominal without being overpowering. They also fit quite nicely, they are definitely a bit tight but over the past few days I’ve owned them I’ve gotten used to the pressure they add. The Bluetooth sound quality is really good, only issue I have is the Bluetooth can be quite crackly at times so I use them with the wire on my phone but I use the Bluetooth function with my Audio Technica LP60 Bluetooth record player. They are a bit expensive but they’re definitely worth it.

Why buy expensive earphones when these do the same job, there built to last, there stronger and made to last a lifetime

It sounds really good but it’s just the hype in my opinion because I also have the soundcore q35 and those sound better well if you like heavy bass music anyway you can’t go wrong and if it’s on sale go for it .

Every dollar you spend with Audio Technica goes directly to quality. Best/most convenient headphones that I have ever owned for daily office use.

I’ll preface this by saying I don’t have a broad range of experiences with multiple over the ear headphones, and I probably can’t differentiate fine sound differences. With that said, I LOVE these headphones. I’ve been using them for years and they continue to impress me. I love that I can go from listening on buds, stereo, etc and the same song takes on a whole different dimension with these. I feel like I am in the song and can truly hear it as the artist intended. The battery life is phenomenal. I can let these sit for months and know when I pick them up, there is plenty of battery left.
