I have been through several iterations of these brackets. The first generation, only meant for small softboxes had ball swivels on them that could never be tightened enough to keep a softbox in place. The second generation was much better, but placement was achieved using what I will describe as a ratcheting mechanism. Moving it up and down was painful and not precise. I still have a few of these. I missed the “S1” version, but am glad that I found the newer S2.The S2 is sturdy and made from metal. It accepts Bowen’s mount accessories. It can hold round headed flash units and most flashes with rectangular heads. The up/down adjustment feels identical to the Godox AD 400’s that I have and makes adjusting the flash angle for my work in my home studio feel consistent. ’bout time. Finally.

I can’t believe that I wasted so much time and headache with those cheap mounts for my Godox flash (My Godox flash unfortunately fell with one of those cheap mounts. Never again.) I held off on buying this product because I felt that I price was not justified, however, I did not want to through the damage and potential embarrassment of my flash falling on the floor again, especially during a client shoot. So, I pulled the trigger and bought it.The first thing I was impressed by was the building quality of this mount: Made of Metal and feels very robust. Once I held it in my hand, I knew that I was getting my money’s worth. I attached my flash, and I noticed that was able to position it in a better angle, which made the light spread more effectively and improved my pictures as a whole. If you do off camera flash photography, this product is a MUST!

These brackets are my go to for my V1 speed lights. I’m able to mount this bracket to any light stand and confidently use just about every strobe and speed lights I’ve ever owned. They are sturdy and I know they will secure my lights in place. I can attach every softbox I own to these brackets. I can use these to diffuse light with a softbox or I can adjust the angle to simply bounce the light. The S2 speed light bracket is my go to for all of my lights. I own 5 of these now and I will own more. Not to replace them as I’m yet to have one break, but just because they are that essential to my photography needs. They are my preferred way to secure my lighting. They work great for my regular flash heads and round. 5 stars! Every photographer needs these!

I wanted a way when I wanted to travel light to use my speed light with a soft box or umbrella on the go. This helps me accomplish this objective. Securely clamps the speed light in adaptor. Has the ability to ether connect to a Bowens mount soft box or a standard umbrella.

This bracket is perfect for mounting your off-camera flash to either a light stand or you can have an assistant easily handhold it if necessary, such as when shooting outdoors in the wind. I love that it can accommodate my Flashpoint V1s and Evolv 200 Pro flashes, including their round heads. It can easily be tilted and can also hold an umbrella perfectly. The Bowens mount is another great feature for mounting reflectors and softboxes. It will even accommodate some softboxes that don’t use a mount and just fit over the frame of the bracket and held by friction. It’s a very affordable, especially considering all of the things the bracket can do. This is a must-have for for when you decide to go off-camera with your speedlight flash.

I was hoping it wasn’t all plastic and it’s not. Metal, well made.
GreenThumb –
I had no idea it was solid metal. Great construction, very solid. Love it.

I have used this with multiple modifiers and my AD200Pro. It has been on my C stand, a lightweight stand, and on my monopod. Best investment I have made for location shooting.

It is a must have if you do off camera speedlights. Excellent quality. I use mine almost daily.
