Two retailers were recently added to the ranks of Furniture First’s membership: Moore’s Home Furnishings in Kerrville, Texas, and LJ Wagner Home Interiors in Nappanee, Indiana.
Moore’s Home Furnishings was founded in 1892, by Tom Moore in Ingram, Texas. The business began as a general store whose wares included lumber and furniture. Today the store is operated by the fourth generation of the family that is still serving the Texas Hill country.
LJ Wagner Home Interiors has a distinguished 50-year history. Their retail offerings include wallpaper, flooring, and window treatments in addition to furniture and accessories. Interior design services are a cornerstone of the business that aims to couple great customer service with value.
“Both of these stores came to us through referrals,” said Andrew Kauffman, CEO of Furniture First. “Moore’s was referred by a service partner and LJ Wagner was referred by a fellow member. I think it’s a real testament that all sides of the equation – retailers, manufacturers, and service partners– see the benefit of what we have to offer.”
Kauffman continued, “It’s great that we are reaching retailers who had never considered us before. Some of our recent members have never belonged to a buying group, and others may have belonged but didn’t find a great fit in the products or services. That’s why our team is careful to show prospective members their potential earnings with a realistic baseline and maximum potential.”
