Badcock Home Furniture &more Partners with American Red Cross in Preparation for Hurricane Season

May is preparedness month, and Badcock Home Furniture &more continues to raise funds for American Red Cross to support disaster preparedness, relief and recovery. Badcock has a long history of focusing on the needs of its local communities by supporting local charities, schools and organizations with supplies and financial aid.

The fundraising initiative was launched last year to commemorate the company’s 117^th anniversary with the goal to raise $117,000 to help people affected by disasters – especially during hurricane season. To date, Badcock has helped raise more than $85,000 in effort to reach its goal by the peak of hurricane season in August.

“Partnering with American Red Cross allows us to help our southeastern communities that are the most susceptible during hurricane season,” says Badcock President and CEO Rob Burnette. “We’re deeply part of the communities we serve – with our customers and our employees – and we want to support American Red Cross in its mission to help people prepare to stay safe during a storm as well as provide disaster relief and recovery.”

Donations can be made online through Badcock’s donation microsite by credit card, debit card, PayPal or Apple Pay. There’s also an option to donate on behalf of loved ones where a card can be sent to them after donations have been completed.

Badcock’s partnership with American Red Cross supports the nonprofit’s efforts to increase awareness and action, in addition to disaster relief and recovery. Badcock encourages residents across the southeast to prepare early before hurricane season begins by purchasing supplies and planning for power outages to keep themselves, their loved ones and homes safe.
