Evil Dead The Game metacritic score delay

New asymmetrical online multiplayer Evil Dead The Game was finally released on May 13, 2022 at midnight, local time. If you didn’t have the huge movie franchise adaptation on pre-order long ago, you might still be wondering whether Evil Dead The Game is worth your time.

Perhaps you’re a fan of the film franchise and aren’t sure if a game adaptation is for you? Or you are a fan of the horror game genre but aren’t familiar with the film? Or just generally one the fence about giving Evil Dead The Game a go? Well, that’s where reviews and scores come in, and the metacritic Evil Dead The Game score can help you decide.

Unfortunately, though, due to the online multiplayer aspects of the game, you’ll have to wait. Metacritic aren’t allowing reviews to be submitted until 1pm PDT/4pm EDT/9pm BST on May 14, 2022. This is to make sure that reviews aren’t being submitted without some significant time in-game first. At least you know you should be getting some fairly trustworthy scores when they do come in.

We’ll update this page as soon as the metacritic scores start to come in. However, we have seen a couple of early review scores across other areas of the internet already, and let’s just say it’s looking promising for the new Saber Interactive title.

What is Evil Dead The Game?

In short, Evil Dead: The Game is an asymmetrical horror unlike any you’ve played before. Think Dead by Daylight, Friday the 13th The Game and Predator Hunting Grounds – and then throw everything you think you know about the genre out the window.

While, at its essence, Evil Dead The Game does pit a group of four survivors against one Kandarian demon player, there’s so much more to it than that. There’s crafting and upgrading, ranged weapons, there’s AI Deadites, drivable vehicles… and, of course, there are possessed trees.
