As the name would suggest the ASUS Zenbook S 13 Flip OLED comes with an OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 550 nits peak brightness. CPU and graphics power comes by way of Intel 12th Gen options, with integrated Iris Xe graphics. The display can comes with touch screen functionality (though there is an option without touchscreen which is 100g lighter). At 1.1kg and 14.9mm thick, the laptop is highly portable. The only ports this laptop comes with, besides the audio combi jack and microSD slot, are the three USB-C sockets which also support Thunderbolt 4 and are used to charge the laptop.

The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED non-flip version is an all-AMD beast that comes with dedicated graphics up to the Radeon 680M – not exactly a powerhouse GPU by gaming laptop standards, but better than the iGPU of the Intel Flip version, and you will likely be able to indulge in some light gaming. The AMD CPU means superior battery life, and ASUS claim up to a whopping 19 hours of runtime, which if true is ridiculously good.
Being an AMD machine the standard, non-flip version does not come with Thunderbolt support sadly, and for some reason also lacks a MicroSD reader. The RAM is also limited to a maximum of 16GB, which is a bit disappointing. Besides the above though, the two machines are very similar – coming with the same display, SSD options, ASUS Pen 2.0 support, with the same weight and same dimensions.
