Through Pokémon GO’s Season of Alola, we have gotten to know three of the four Alolan Islands; Melemele, Akala and Ula’Ula. Now, we are being introduced to the fourth and final Island from the Sun & Moon series, Poni Island, as part of the “A Poni Adventure” Pokémon GO Special Research story.
For those unfamiliar with the wider Pokémon franchise, Poni Island is the fourth main Alolan island players visit on their journey through Sun & Moon and Sun & Moon Ultra. The island is home to Pokémon such as Jangmo-o, Hakamo-o and Kommo-o, Noibat and Noivern, and Cutiefly and Ribombee. These are currently rare Pokémon in the mobile game, and Cutiefly and Rimbombee haven’t been released at all, yet. Perhaps this might be the event in which the Bee Fly Pokémon make their debut. Finally, Tapu Lele is the Island Guardian of Poni Island, and will appear in Pokémon GO Legendary Raids this week.
A Poni Island Adventure is the fourth of five Special Research stories taking place for the Season of Alola, and will result in encounters with a number of Pokémon, as we’ll explore below. Most importantly, though, completing A Poni Adventure – along with the other three previous research lines – by June 1, 2022, will allow you to take part in the fifth. Let’s take a look at what you’ll need to do to complete A Poni Adventure, and how you’ll be rewarded for your time!

If you want to check the task for every other Alolan Island Adventure, we’ve put them below:
