Nationwide Marketing Group announces that it has received the 2022 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. This is the 8th year in a row that Nationwide has received the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award and the 15th year the company has been recognized as an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year overall.
The Sustained Excellence Award is the highest honor bestowed by the ENERGY STAR program. Winners are part of a distinguished group that has made a long-term commitment to fighting climate change and protecting public health through energy efficiency. They are among the nation’s leaders in driving value for the environment, the economy and the American people.
“It is a source of never-ending inspiration to see how Nationwide Marketing Group and our member retailers, their staffs and our vendor partners come together each year and work hand-in-hand to make a difference not only for consumers but for the Earth and our environment,” says Richard Weinberg, senior vice president of business services for Nationwide Marketing Group. “While it seems like a simple task, providing consumers with access to these innovative, feature-rich and energy-efficient products means we’re putting our collective weight as an independent retail industry behind critically important sustainability efforts. This recognition from ENERGY STAR and the EPA validates those efforts.”
Each year, the ENERGY STAR program honors a group of businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy achievements. ENERGY STAR award winners lead their industries in the production, sale and adoption of energy-efficient products, homes, buildings, services and strategies. These efforts are essential to fighting the climate crisis and protecting public health.
“We know it’s going to take all of us working together to tackle the climate crisis, and the 2022 ENERGY STAR award-winning partners are demonstrating what it takes to build a more sustainable future,” says EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan. “These companies are showing once again that taking action in support of a clean energy economy can be good not only for the environment, but also for business and customers.”
Winners are selected from a network of thousands of ENERGY STAR partners. For a complete list of 2022 winners and more information about ENERGY STAR’s awards program, visit energystar.gov/awardwinners.
