Kazuha is a 5-star Anemo Sword character who specialises as an Anemo Support, and is only available on the Character Event Wish banner while he is featured character. Keep reading to find out what materials are needed to Ascend Kazuha, his best builds and an overview of how to use him effectively.

Kazuha Ascension Stat

All characters in Genshin Impact have a particular stat that levels up alongside their base stats. For Kazuha, this extra stat is Elemental Mastery. This will increase the DMG of his Elemental Reactions.

Kazuha Ascension Materials

Once you have obtained Kazuha and maxed him to Level 20, he can be further levelled up through Ascension. The materials you will need to Ascend Kazuha are as follows:

Prithiva Topaz Slivers, Fragments, Chunks and Gemstones can be obtained by defeating the Anemo Hypostasis, located in Mondstadt, and Maguu Kenki, located in Inazuma.

Marionette Core can be obtained by defeating the Maguu Kenki, located in Inazuma.

Sea Ganoderma can be found across Inazuma. They grow in abundance around the coasts of Kannazuka, Watatsumi Island and Seirai Island.

Treasure Hoarder Insignias, Silver Raven Insignias and Golden Raven Insignias can be obtained by defeating Treasure Hoarders, which can be found all over Teyvat.

Kazuha Talent Materials

In order to make Kazuha stronger, you’ll need to upgrade his talents. The materials you will need are as follows:

• Guide to Diligence
• Philosophies of Diligence
• Gilded Scale

The Teachings, Guide and Philosophies of Diligence can be obtained by completing the Domain of Mastery: Heart of the Flames every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Meanwhile, the Gilded Scale is a potential drop from the Weekly Azhdaha Challenge.

Kazuha Best Weapons

Here are some weapon suggestions:

Without a doubt, Freedom-Sworn is Kazuha’s best weapon. It features a high Elemental Mastery substat, and a passive which effectively increases your party’s ATK% and Normal, Charged and Plunging Attack DMG when Kazuha triggers Elemental Reactions – which he’ll be doing frequently. Skyward Blade can also be a good choice if you’re lacking in Energy Recharge, however, you should ideally aim to put Elemental Mastery weapons on him.

Speaking of which, a very good 4-star weapon for Kazuha is the craftable Iron Sting. It’s F2P-friendly, and features an Elemental Mastery substat which is great for Kazuha’s Reactions and passives. Alternatively, you could use either the Favonius Sword or Sacrificial Sword if you aren’t able to craft Iron Sting just yet. They both have Energy Recharge substats for Kazuha’s Burst. That being said, you should aim to put Iron Sting on him if you don’t have either of the 5-star recommended weapons, to get the most out of his Elemental Reactions.

The Alley Flash isn’t recommended for Kazuha, since despite having an Elemental Mastery substat, it only amounts to 55 at level 90. This isn’t really worthwhile, and the Iron Sting outperforms it by a lot – and it has the added benefit of being craftable.

Kazuha Best Artifacts

Kazuha’s best Artifact set is 4-Piece Viridescent Venerer, and it’s the only set you’ll ever want to put on him. The 4-Piece set, which shreds your enemies’ Elemental RES, is highly beneficial to your team and will help them deal more DMG overall.

For low-level players, 4-Piece Instructor works well until you’re able to get higher level Artifacts.

For your Artifact main stats, you will want to run:

With your Goblet, Elemental Mastery is desired over Anemo DMG Bonus – but if you’re struggling to get a good Artifact, Anemo DMG Bonus can work in the meantime. In terms of Artifact substats, you’ll want to focus on ATK%, Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge and both CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate.

How to use Kazuha

His Elemental Skill, Chihayaburu, pulls objects and opponents towards Kazuha’s current position before launching the opponents within the AoE dealing Anemo DMG and lifting Kazuha into the air on a rushing wind current. Within 10s of being in mid-air due to the effects of Chihahaburu and if maintaining a mid-air state, Kazuha can unleash a particularly powerful Plunging Attack known as Midare Ranzan. The skill can be tapped or held. Tap can be used mid-air. On hold, the skill charges up before unleashing greater Anemo DMG over a larger AoE than Tap mode.

When a Plunging Attack is performed using the effects of Chihayaburu, Plunging Attack DMG is converted to Anemo DMG. On landing, Kazuha creates a small wind tunnel that pulls in nearby objects and opponents. Midare Ranzan’s DMG is considered Plunging Attack DMG.

His Elemental Burst, Kazuha Slash, strikes as a single slash, dealing AoE Anemo DMG. The blade’s passage will leave behind a field named “Autumn Whirlwind” that periodically deals AoE Anemo DMG to opponents within its range. If Autumn Whirlwind comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will deal additional Elemental DMG of that type. Elemental Absorption may only occur one per use.

Furthermore, his Ascension Passive Poetics Of Fuubutsu makes it so when Kazuha triggers a Swirl Reaction, he will grant teammates a 0.04% Elemental DMG Bonus to their corresponding Element for every point of Elemental Mastery Kazuha has for 8s. Bonuses for different elements through this method can co-exist.

Kazuha is a fantastic support character thanks to his crowd control, Elemental RES shredding courtesy of 4-Piece VV, and his Elemental DMG buffing. Because of this, he can fit onto almost any team comp where you’re in need of the aforementioned things. For example, he can work very well with characters such as Xiao, who appreciate supports who can group enemies together. Kazuha also works well with Xiao as he can act as an Anemo battery, which will help Xiao charge up his Burst faster. He also does well on teams where it’s beneficial to spread a particular Element between several enemies – such as Hydro in an Electro-Charged or Freeze comp.

Kazuha is also featured in many one-shot comps too, largely since he can debuff enemies thanks to 4-Piece VV, as well as buff your team’s Elemental DMG with his passive. Because of this, he works well with characters who can deal a high amount of Elemental DMG with their Burst; think Tartaglia, Hu Tao or Ayaka. Your rotation in a team like this is quite important, as you’ll need to Swirl your Main DPS’ Element with Kazuha before switching back to them for their Burst. This is so that you can activate 4-Piece Viridescent Venerer’s Elemental RES debuff.

Overall, Kazuha is an amazing support character who can fit onto most any team, making him a great addition to your roster!
