BDI Announces Additions to International Sales Team; Veteran Reps Retire

BDI, furniture designer and manufacturer, announced the addition of Stuart Harrison and Hugh Landes to the BDI sales representative team. Their hires follow the impending retirements of Barry Apter and Terry Jenkins, long-time sales representatives for the brand.

Apter has been part of the BDI team since the late-1980s and covers Northern California and Hawaii, and he also represents Ekornes. He is retiring at the end of March and will be succeeded by his daughter, Natalie Apter who has been with the BDI saes rep team since 2016. Jenkins has been with BDI since 2005 and has covered Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. In addition to BDI, he also represents Trica and Nuevo.

Stuart Harrison was hired Jan. 1 of this year and is partnering with Jenkins through his retirement and will then take over the territory. Harrison is based in Dallas and also represents American Leather and Copeland. 

Hugh Landes was brought on board March 1 to manage BDI’s Latin American territory. A native of Costa Rica, he now resides in Austin, Texas and represents multiple lines, including Huppe and Fjords.
