With Nvidia’s new RTX 3090 Ti launch, and Intels ARC Alchemist GPUs around the corner, it’s no surprise there are also some AMD Radeon graphics cards coming. Videocardz has confirmed the rumors of the release date for the RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT, and RX 6650 XT.
With the sources used by Videocardz having a good track record, the rumor is likely to come to fruition. Along with the release date, there is also an image of the upcoming GPUs. Releasing on May 10th will be the Midnight Black Edition designs following from the 6800 XT edition. This black and sleek design will let them stand out from the rest of the pickings.
AMD RX 6X50 XT specifications
The RDNA 2 refresh has been pushed back from the original leaked launch date of April 20th. There is no word why but now it is likely to come on May 10th. With the launch, the graphics cards are bringing upgraded memory speeds and memory buses to the lower-end card. Although no direct changes to the die core itself with the same compute units available in the upgraded GPUs.
The RX 6X50 XT, unlike the 3090 Ti does not feature the new 12VHPWR power connector yet. Instead, the reference cards have an 8 pin, 8 + 6 pin, and 8 + 8 pin set on power connectors on them, when going from the 6650 XT to the 6950 XT. Reducing the need for adapters or new power supplies to feed their power needs of them.
