At the recent ICFA Educational Conference, Windward participated both as an event sponsor and as a panelist for one of the educational sessions.
During the recent casual industry Educational Conference, Windward, Sarasota-based outdoor furniture designer, and manufacturer, continued in its corporate commitment to the International Casual Furnishings Association (ICFA). Since the summer of 2021 when Windward joined ICFA, the company has expanded upon its commitment to the industry with participation in ICFA Casual Market Chicago trade show in September as well as conferences. At the recent ICFA Educational Conference, Windward participated both as an event sponsor and as a panelist for one of the educational sessions.
During the four-day casual industry-focused conference, Windward sponsored a luncheon associated with the well-attended retailer tour. Also, within the slate of educational presentations, Windward’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Charles Emmons, served on a panel of industry experts for a discussion on the topic of Supply Chain Logistics. Challenges in the supply chain that have emerged from the outbreak of the pandemic were explored as well as the expert’s perspective on the outlook for how the casual industry.
“Windward has always been proud of its years as part of the casual industry,” said Emmons. “Recently, we have expanded this commitment with membership in the ICFA to further emphasize this support. This conference as well as all initiatives of the ICFA organization provides opportunities for manufacturing, retailing and sales entities within our industry to become more involved and provide valuable information and networking experiences.”
